was a nice easy off the road trek after lunch. relaxing as not to many people can park and be down there at one time.

Did this hike back in October of 2017, great views!

I explored this trail in October of 2017. I enjoyed it so much I nicknamed it the Pacific Coast Playground! Lots to explore here!

Perfect quick hike. Right off the 101. Incredibly beautiful.

Parked in the day use lot to go on a quick hike, I was the only car there. My girlfriend and I were approached by a man at the beginning of the trail and asked us a random question then we saw him walk into the woods and stand there thinking we didn’t turn back around a minute later. Eerie feeling we left immediately. Remember you can be out in the middle of no where quick. Use your wits

Easy and short trail to stretch your legs on. Once out to the rock formation there is plenty to explore, especially during low tide.

Great views of the ocean.

I post every section of the Ca and Or coastal trails i can and this is another piece of the Oregon Coastal Trail. Recently I've met 3 PCT hikers on different sections who had to get off and form a new plan because of fires on the PCT. One came all the way from Korea... This trail is always going up or down but not steep with some very nice ocean views. If you start this trail from the opposite end I did it most of it would be great for a wheelchair. Please note the pic posted of the gate.

Nice little trail through Humbug. You either have to camp there or park at Humbug Mtn parking lot and walk under the road through a tunnel to get through the campground. Very nice place to camp as well.

Unusual trail... Starts out as a little single track that has some nice wild ferns. It then turns into the Or Coastal Trail which is asphalt. Along the road it has raised planter boxes with different types of ferns that are labeled. One and done for me.

Beautiful day and very beautiful beach. Red Rocks to the south and Port Orford to the north with some beautiful rock structures to photo. I met a hiker from So Korea who got burned off the PCT and decided to dot the Oregon Coast Trail as a backup. Met a hiker and bicyclist from Wyoming and Chicago as well today.... Small world!

Did this while looking for another trail in the area I saw online but was unable to find. Great looking creek... Makes me wonder if the salmon spawn here. This area is salmon rich with the Sixes and the Elk both being great small salmon rivers..

Driving by and saw the sign and couldn't resist another trail. Should've..... Not worth doing but but my dog enjoyed it as part of hiking all day. The bridge with the sign was amusing. First time I've given anything one star.

Awesomely beautiful area especially when the wind isn't blowing and it wasn't today. A lot of beautiful rock formations including the arches you'll see in the pictures. Exceptionally beautiful beach with Red Rocks out in the distance as well as Humbug Mountain to the south. Highly recommend this one to all!

Awesome pull off on the 101 if you are looking to stretch your legs out and do some exploring.

Easy little hike. Fun to explore the rocks on the south side in low tide. Lots of starfish, crabs, mussels and polished rocks. Nice view of a blue heron as well.

This is a wonderful little hike. Take your time exploring the area...you can go down to the beaches both to the north and south of the rocks and also there is a sea cave in the hole on the large Sisters Rock that you can look down into.. And if you hike around the side, you can see where the water comes in.

Loved this easy walk! Absolutely beautiful views!

These rock outcropping offer a different feel to the south west Oregon coast. Enjoy the view as you walk down the ridge line round to the beach. Don't miss the hole at the end of the trail that opens up to the ocean.

Completed this hike last week. Nice little last minute, quick hike after a big brunch at Hook'D. The day and scenery were beautiful.

I did this one from the trail marker to the south that joined a small road that basically turned into what looked more like a parking lot. At some point cars use to drive down there maybe even to launch boats? It looked like a decent area to fish... It was a nice point of interest with some good views on a gorgeous day!.....#279

Nice little trail with some good viewpoints of the ocean and some local history to boot. The trail goes right and ends and the middle portion is concrete and near the end of that you can take a left and it goes back to the museum which is open seasonally. Easy enough for almost anyone to do with well placed guard rails to make it safer for children. It's best to not use King St. What looks like it use to be the trail is signed no trespassing. King ends in a culdesac and it looks like the neighbors don't wish to be bothered... If you stay on Port Orford highway it ends at the museum and the trail starts there......#277

An unexpected stop off the side of the road led us to one of the most spectacular discoveries.

Early September with sun shining and no one around

Wednesday, August 03, 2016

Hiked from the south turnout where there was a trail marker. The trail joins an old road after a short distance. Others hiked down from a turnout a little north where there is an old road with a closed gate. The trail was hot and very dry with little vegetation.

Super windy. expect it. Lots of nice benches to take a pause and view the scenery. take along the 300mm lens for excellent landscape shots. Dogs allowed on leashes and they provide poop bags. fun museum area. I will come again.
