This time of year is not the best time to go. We walked out 2.0 miles and the wind and rain on top were intense... that was not the problem though... it is ridiculously muddy. Nearly 60 inches of rain this year have left the trail soupy. I would wait until June to try this trail. I suspect the very top is glorious. I shall have to return to find out.

Trail is muddy this time of year, but if you have hiking boots & long pants on you will enjoy a moderate workout to some awesome beach views! Be prepared to see some beautiful & very active wildlife. It took me about a total of 3 hours (including time to take tons of pictures). Cheers!

Very pretty well marked and well maintained trail with cute little bridges.

The trail has some steep inclines and some stair like parts. It was muddy, but not as bad as the signs made it seems. Still bring appropriate footwear and expect your pants to get a little muddy from splashing.

They are very clear about not bringing dogs and to stay on the trail as the trail passes through some private property and seeks to conserve the delicate ecosystem that lays on the meadow. Thanks to the Nature Conservancy the area has been well preserved.

A very rewarding muddy climb up to beautiful ocean views!

Fun to hike

I loved the hike. Great Cardio uphill hike mixed with quiet nature, creeks and an amazing view. Herd of elk at the top was a bonus!

Totally enjoyed this trail! Awesome view, good for working out.

Crazy muddy! Bring a change of socks and shoes. There is some steep uphill and many switchbacks but it's worth it! The views are incredible and we saw a herd of elk along the way.

As Drake would say.... Views

Extremely happy with this hike. A bit challenging being I did it in the rain. Once getting to the top, there was no way to see the ocean or very far ahead of you. It was well worth the couple hours spent.

Heading back down, it cleared up just to see some of the ocean, and view below. Wonderful.

Miles hiked headed at 6.7 miles according to Strava starting from the car.

Looking forward to trial running here next trip!

This is one of the most scenic hikes and best during late spring. Good gradual elevation with lots of amazing views of the coastline and colorful wildflowers.
