It was a nice little walk near the river. Given what this trail is, it was nice. Family friendly with picnic tables and plenty of parking. Not much to explore other than the one short trail. Nice place for a picnic but not for exploring or serious hiking.

At the second T in the trail head right to reach the overlook. The sign is no longer there.

The neighboring waste facility and sound of the road makes this hike not as fun.

It's pretty much just a quick family get together. The "trails" are overgrown and it's hard to find the right one to take you in the loop. Not worth it.

It’s definitely a walk. Beware the first leg is through a hay field with no shade. The field mice are rampant through this part with some laying dead on the path. Watch out for snakes. When you get to the trees it gets better. Watch out for bitting flies, bit me twice. The end result is great though, Williamette river to dip your toes in.

If you like flat and uncrowded with a variety of habitats this is a great place for a leisurely stroll. We hiked several of the roads and mowed trails and stopped often to look at birds and the multitude of flowering plants and shrubs. Crossed paths with a pair of dog walkers (dog was on leash) and one family and one man fishing in the stocked lake. The rest of the walk was ours alone!

A nice nature walk. Not a hike.

Great trail for a short stroll. Easy trail that's appropriate for all ages. Plenty of birds out and nice, defined path.

Yuck. Dead, old broken county roads of old govt facility gone to vines. Remains of buildings & broken fences, bad water signs...hardly any wildlife. Some families trying to fish in stocked pond, garbage dump nearby. ...yuck

trail running

A run is what you make it, but I had to run back and forth on this trail a lot to make it much of anything. A few spots of overhang were fun to duck under. This is really a picnic and river area though, don't come for the trail

very muddy and overgrown. super short. not worth going to walk unless you are already there.

Pretty much just a short, overgrown, muddy trail from the parking lot to the river and along the riverbank.

Tucked away little jewel, but more of a nice family picnicking area than trail. A squirrel could run it in 3 minutes. Still, a quite, peaceful place and worth a stop off.

Small, fun trail; my dog and I loved roaming it. Beautiful autumn setting. Would definitely go there again.

This trail is off the beaten path, in a pretty little area. It's very easy and a very short trail. A little bit of downhill hiking, if you want to go down to the river. It would be a great place to take a picnic and have a bit of peace and quiet.

I spent a few hours at the EE Wilson Wildlife to get back slowly in shape after a couple weeks down with a seasonal bug. The long stretches of flat, straight and wide "trails" was a good way to get back in the saddle.
While this will not make it to my top 10 (or even top 50) list of favorite hiking spots, it has a few things that may be of interest to visitors, such as the history of Camp Adair, the OSU research areas and, of course, fishing and hunting/shooting spots.

Note: the North-South "avenues" are mostly paved and free of debris/mud. the East-West "streets" are a bit more rural and reclaimed by nature.

I may if fact go back to the EE Wilson Wildlife area for a leisurely bike ride on the paved, long, wide and vehicle-free stretches of "streets" that use to serve the barracks of the camp.

This is a nice easy hike using abandoned roadways, improved trails, raises wooden walkways and foot bridges. It has several water features including a small lake, a larger swampy area,
