Lots of poison oak. First time at this location. Was looking for something different and fun. It was adventurous and exciting, but not for running. Will probably be back to the park for other activities in the future, not for a trail run.

OK for a day park, lame for a walking trail.

Great place to see lots of wildlife, lots of waterfowl and level trails.

Kind of was spontaneously planned by a friend and I. We simply wanted to ride our bikes out to the lake on a warm summer day. We ended up not only riding out to the lake, but also completely around it, and taking in some great scenery along the way. I enjoyed the wildlife viewing deck we found on the south side of the lake, along HWY 126. We made a day of it, and enjoyed a lunch in Veneta, before taking Territorial Highway around the west side of Fern Ridge and heading back towards the dam on the north end. Turned out to be an amazing bike ride with a lot to see on all sides of the lake. Take along a camera and be very careful of traffic along the busier roads.
