This is a good trail for dogs with arthritis or a bit older who like to go on nature walks. Mostly paved but a few trails with some bark. Moderate amount of people, some who kept dogs off leash so be careful if your dog is on the shy or aggressive side. A good spot for kids to walk if they need to get energy out as it’s only about a mile or under loop.

Did the loop with my two kids and ended at the park to play.

I often do this loop and the North trail when I want to get out of the house. It is not heavily trafficked in the mornings (at least when I go). The discovery center is very nice - my kids enjoy it. You can spot wildlife frequently most seen are snakes, birds, frogs and insects.

nice family trail, beautifully maintained.

Nice little trail with cute winding pedestrian bridges through the forest. Note: you’ll have to walk a stretch on a main road to complete the loop. Not a big deal, I just prefer to not have to when going on nature walks. Also, the trail as marked is not possible. It directs you to turn onto a trail that is actually running beneath the bridge you are meant to be on.

Nice trail connecting and encircling two parks, Orchard and Orenco Woods... Orchard features a frisbee golf course and Orenco some wide open fields and field art plus a cool bridge. Mostly paved and some walking on sidewalks, the trail also has crushed cinder and mulch paths, several cool boardwalk bridges and some beautiful big trees. Both of the parks are great places to spend some time in. Enjoy!

Nice short stroll on pavement and boardwalks, this loop takes you by a nice frisbee golf course, wetlands and through the forest, with places to sit along the way. Good for running, dog walking or just walking.

Comfortable for a nice stroll. Not many inclines to contend with. Well kept trails with plenty of signage/maps, directions & even a bit of wildlife information. Beautiful spots for bird viewing. May sometimes be a tad muddy, though they tend to gravel or bark the areas, so this is a minor concern.

pretty and shady. nice short walk

Very quiet flat trail, mostly barked or dirt. Low water but still several birds. We will come back in the rainy season.

Great trail running park.

Great trail going through urban areas. Rock creek trail has like 3-4 traffic signal crossings. But trail is well maintained, fully paved and lots of greenery with creek going along it. Overall nice jog. Friendly for all kinds.

Very easy trail, friendly dogs my try to playfully jump at you :) a good way to get to Orenco station without having to ride major streets.

Awesome short trail. Windy but quite fun to run on. Has paved, gravel and wood chip surfaces giving some varied surfaces to try out. Views are woodsy and of creek.

Great stroll, wouldn’t consider a great hike though. Lots to see. Trails everywhere, it can be a bit confusing. They all seem to meet up so can’t get lost. Lots of tree cover, which is my favorite.

This is a beautiful place, and I’ve enjoyed growing up here and learning about the plants and animals that live here.

Great walking/jogging/biking. Was able to walk my dog while my son rode his bike. Really pretty and mostly shaded walk for a hot day

Great for an easy outdoor walk or run. There are no pets allowed in the last loop though (I think it was the Orenco Loop), not even on-leash, so the pupper and I had to cut our walk short.

The pintail pond is absolutely stunning on any type of occasion. This trail provides multiple break points and is not very well known which means most of the time you are the only person there. The pintail pond specifically is great for meditation and/or reading. Very serene! 10/10.
