Cons: Trail head was not marked and hard to find. The trail was narrow and poison oak was almost impossible to avoid. Because of the poison oak I turned around and went back to the car after half a mile.

Pros: The water made this a wonderful hike on a hot summer day. The area is serene and peaceful. I would highly recommend this trail if it was better maintained.

I very much enjoyed the beautiful hike.
such beauty, the greenery, the falls.just beautiful! I did take a couple deer trails, the last bit as I was finishing the hike was a bit confusing, but managed just fine.I will go again,my sister went with me the second time I went and we will definitely go back. it's only a 15 min. drive from my home to Limpy.

I love coming here and going off the trail to explore. Very beautiful and relaxing with the sound of little waterfalls all over, and I've had the fortune of not running into anyone here. The only problem is that sometime over the last winter the road is too much for my low clearance vehicle to go through.

Never been up to the lookout. I felt it was worth the drive. Definitely a long gravel drive up the mountain. Once at the parking area it’s just a hike up the rest of the gated gravel road to the top. The view was pretty amazing though and even though the lookout had been vandalized it was still worth checking out. I brought my 11 year old son and a couple of his friends and they enjoyed it as well

Really enjoyed the trail. A lot of awesome manzanita, madrone and oak trees. The trail itself is nice and flat hard pan with a little sand. It appears to be built by mountain bikers because of the formaation and high banks on some of the sharp switchbacks. Just discovered this trail system today and will be back many times.

Enjoyable with a great hard packed base among the oaks, manzanita and madrones. Nice the dog can run free...

great short loop trail with plenty of picturesque spots to stop and enjoy a waterfall or snap a photo of the forest. also dog friendly!

quite a crazy drive all the way up. The lookout is no longer maintained and you aren't supposed to access it by vehicle but it can be done with 4×4 or on foot. The top has the most majestic 360 views, and there are lots of beautiful places to stop along the way and hike or take in the view.

Nice little trail. On the way up came across a final gathering for a kid that hung himself in the woods nearby. Bummer...

Did this trail today around 5-6pm. Perfect time!! The lighting was beautiful. The whole trail from start to finish was gorgeous!! My dog loved it too, and drinking the fresh creek water! Awesome that this trail is about 5 minutes from my house!(:

Beautiful, easy and my German Shepherd loved the water! We went 5/6/18.

Nice easy hike. Beautiful scenery. Path a little confusing at times

Straight uphill. Nice views

There were no trail head marker, a mining claim sign is all that shows the start of the trail. trail is well defined for the first quarter mile. once you cross the tree log bridge, you are almost on your own. the trail seems to disappear and is overgrown with poison oak and the ticks were active.. down to the river was very scenic, we wish the trail had been cleared so it could be followed.

Awesome trail, definitely beautiful in the spring and the fall. It may get too hot in the summer to do this trail. You cannot take a stroller on the trail. It does get sleep through one part. I took my five-year-old and two-year-old and they both did the hike. It was beautiful. Beautiful views , beautiful oak grove, A great hike!

Great hike! We went towards the very begining of April. It was really muddy, but beautiful. It's an easy, peaceful trail with nice views of the creek, several benches, information plaques, and charming bridges. If you'd like to see more, my family documented our hike here: https://youtu.be/xlRGZwzmxuM

Passed the trailhead and almost made it to the top of the mountain before turning back and following directions left by others. Once we found the trailhead, it didn’t take long to lose the trail. Made it to the fallen log that crosses the river before turning around and heading back. We’re hoping to come back near the end of summer and maybe some foot traffic will have made the trail more visible by then.

What we did see was extremely beautiful though and can’t wait to hike it in its entirety one day!

Nice stroll through the woods along the creek! looks like a popular swimming hole on hot days!

I'm here in mid March...beautiful!

The lookout has been condemned due to vandalism

Beautiful easy hike with lush rivers and waterfalls. Takes approx. 35 minutes to make the loop. Some trails turn into streams and back to trails. Can be a little confusing to stick on the trail but it doesn't matter that much, it's not a large area to get lost in. Good for parents and kids.

Great short hike follow the map it is easy to go off trail but the trail is easy and very peaceful. We did this with our 1 and 5 year old and had no problems our favorite hike so far.

Very easy trail though it’s easy to go down deer trails when hiking it as it’s not always clearly marked. Decent little water fall during hike, muddy right now.

Loved this trail! After you cross a giant fallen tree the trail continues to the right, but it’s not easily seen. We lost the trail at that point, but picked it up again soon after. Pretty easy hike, but there are spots the trail is on the side of a steep hill, so wouldn’t recommend for small children. Great if you are wanting to bring a dog because there is not much traffic on this trail.

very easy with kids

Nice easy trail to hike on a sunny winter day.

This has been my favorite soo far.. its very easy to get off trail we did it a bunch... but its worth it to adventure out a little bit... its very beautiful and we will be going back during the summer❤️❤️❤️ easy hike!!

Great trail with some beautiful views

Beautiful winter hike. Hiked with dogs and kids in the rain and it was still fun just dressed according
Bridges slippery while raining so be careful, trees canopied the trail and Water was stunning. Easy hike
Lots of fun.

Great views of Grants Pass. It's better in spring, before it gets too hot and the grass dries out, but the autumn leaves are beautiful in early fall.
