The china creek trail is the prettiest part!!! We started at the Park at north end of trail and did the China Crest, lighthouse, and then hobbit trail and beach to park again. The lighthouse part added the burn, the rest was easy.

Beautiful trail in a magical forest. You get old growth giant moss covered trees as well as the coast/beach.

Even in the dry summer plenty of green. And a few trickles of water.

Beautiful trail. Away from the crowds. The trail intersects a number of others so you have lots of options. Good signage at each fork. We were there on a clear day and the views were incredible from the top.

Great trail that leads to several different things to see. Good signage with the distance to each.

This is a beautiful trail that covers the Oregon gamut (minus redwood trees). There’s a beautiful moss covered forest, streams, beaver dams, a lighthouse, hobbit holes and a misty expanse of beach with driftwood and interesting features. We added the lighthouse hike to the loop and it changed it from a walk (sometimes people in flip flops carrying beach chairs) to a hike (vertical gain through starkly dry and rain forest areas). The negative here was the road noise from the 101, which runs through the middle of the hike.

Nice hike up a gravel path/road to the light house. Beautiful lighthouse and views.

Short easy walk through the woods. There were signs telling you about the history of the trail and it was pretty but nothing out of the ordinary. Glad I went once but don't feel the need to go back.

Beautiful trail through old growth Douglas Firs, some 500-600 years old. Awesome that this area of old growth could be saved. Easy trail, lots of birds. Really lovely.

As beautiful as dunes can be, however 3 stars because: 1) some benches are too tall: probably, the soil settled with time; 2) the dunes block the view of the ocean; 3) "Warning! Mountain lion is active in this area" as posted in the kiosk by the bridge leading from the loop north-east to Alder dunes. "Is active", not merely "sighted."

Lovely walk along the beach.. trails diverge South end at the road and you can walk to the light house.

I added on the lighthouse trail to make it 6.6 miles. From forest to beach to vistas to the lighthouse this is worth a stop. Most don’t do the China Creek Loop and it was beautiful.

I didn't have a lot of time for a hike so I just walked from hwy 101 down to the beach and back. It was an awesome little stroll through the dark forest to the Beach. Would definitely recommend this trail.

The weeds on this hike were unbelievably high!! It was hard to see the path and we stopped half way through because we couldn't find the path and we saw several garden snakes!!

We took our two boys on this hike, 4 and 7 years old. They did great! They got tired at the end but it was our second hike of the day. Everything was beautiful to see and there we're markers here and there but someone sprayed white arrows on the path which made it easier to follow because there are a lot of trails you can take to make it a longer hike. Thank you for the arrows!!

It was a nice hike/walk. Lots of people on a Saturday.

Combines an beautiful beach walk with an awesome coastal forest hike. Make sure you take the China Creek loop - a quiet walk through an incredible Sitka Spruce forest.

Breathtaking. A great walk.

Perfect trail run

Favorite coastal hike. Connected to another trail and ended up doing 7.5 miles. Every bit of it beautiful!

One of my favorites and worth trying out. Only thing id say is if it's a cold, windy, and/or rainy day id skip the beach and go back the way you came. Ive also noticed when its rainy this trail doesn't get too terribly muddy. Theres only a few spots. Most pretty good.

Amazing day to be up at the lighthouse! great, easy climb to the top.

I love this trail. It’s a 4.5 mile loop and it doesn’t even feel like it! The beach is a beautiful addition to the woodsy hike across the highway. There is also a separate trail to the right on the woods side, not sure where it goes as my friend and I ran into a giant daddy long leg and went back to the main trail!

My absolute favorite stop on my little Oregon Coast road trip. There is a trail that leads up behind the lighthouse. Take it if you can! It’s the best view of the lighthouse and ocean. And use a panorama mode to capture it all. I added my favorite picture I’ve ever taken to this gallery. You just can’t beat the Oregon Coast.

Park for this little gem on the side of the road just outside of the Honeyman SP Group Camp. Walk straight through to the paved trail which curves right. Do NOT park in the service yard lot right off Hwy101 as you would have to walk around anyway. This is a nice easy hike that made for a great start to my vacation day. Really enjoyed seeing a part of Woahink Lake I’ve never seen before. The trail is maintained quite well which is very nice to see.

Nice lakeside trail, kid friendly, minimal elevation. Some exposed roots to watch your feet. There's a bench about half mile in to sit and enjoy the lake view.

It doesn't get any better than the Oregon Coast in early spring. Brought back amazing and many wonderful childhood memories.

It's a nice little combined trail stroll.
