Beautiful views from the trail.

Easy hike to the lighthouse.

Very magical place, expected Bilbo Baggins and gang to pop out behind the trees! Beach is lovely, not many people. Great hike!

Fun place to hike with kids or go for a run! I liked it so much hiking with a group of kids that I went back the next day and ran it. Shady and covered by trees. The ground feels padded and bouncy I loved it.

I went from the trailhead to China Creek Loop and back (did not do the beach portion). Leisurely shaded hike in a beautiful forest. The China Creek Loop was my favorite part.

Your app is amazing. Touring Oregon with an Aussie and husband who doesn’t like hiking. Just running and cycling. Easily found the trail head and used the gps.
Hike down the beach beautiful. Hiked back through the forest spectacular. A must do in the fall

trail was well maintained. very quite peaceful.. definitely will be doing this trail again..

A cute half-day hike that takes in coastal views and green forest. Would recommend adding the out-and-back detour to the Haceta Head Lighthouse, which adds some uphill hiking but offers great views of the coast and beach. I would advise being familiar with the route ahead of time, some parts are not well signposted and we didn't have cell service, so we improvised. We were lucky enough to figure it out on our own!

Awesome trail! Great views!

Def easy but we had a child and a baby in a backpack so it worked. Otherwise it was convenient to the group campsite and beautiful views of the lake.

The china creek trail is the prettiest part!!! We started at the Park at north end of trail and did the China Crest, lighthouse, and then hobbit trail and beach to park again. The lighthouse part added the burn, the rest was easy.

Beautiful trail in a magical forest. You get old growth giant moss covered trees as well as the coast/beach.

Great hike! Though, I would rate this as moderate instead of easy.

Even in the dry summer plenty of green. And a few trickles of water.

Shown map is incorrect. I uploaded a map of trails as a photo. Several connecting trails to choose your route. All forest trails. Well maintained trails. Quiet.

Beautiful trail. Away from the crowds. The trail intersects a number of others so you have lots of options. Good signage at each fork. We were there on a clear day and the views were incredible from the top.

Great trail that leads to several different things to see. Good signage with the distance to each.

This is a beautiful trail that covers the Oregon gamut (minus redwood trees). There’s a beautiful moss covered forest, streams, beaver dams, a lighthouse, hobbit holes and a misty expanse of beach with driftwood and interesting features. We added the lighthouse hike to the loop and it changed it from a walk (sometimes people in flip flops carrying beach chairs) to a hike (vertical gain through starkly dry and rain forest areas). The negative here was the road noise from the 101, which runs through the middle of the hike.

We took our dogs here for a beautiful morning walk. I did read reviews prior and made sure to drive up the road further to get to the trailhead. A few RVs were camped up there but there was still plenty of parking for hikers. The trails are deeply covered in trees and it splits off to other trails. Trail maps are located throughout the trail.

Nice hike up a gravel path/road to the light house. Beautiful lighthouse and views.

Short easy walk through the woods. There were signs telling you about the history of the trail and it was pretty but nothing out of the ordinary. Glad I went once but don't feel the need to go back.

Beautiful trail through old growth Douglas Firs, some 500-600 years old. Awesome that this area of old growth could be saved. Easy trail, lots of birds. Really lovely.

As beautiful as dunes can be, however 3 stars because: 1) some benches are too tall: probably, the soil settled with time; 2) the dunes block the view of the ocean; 3) "Warning! Mountain lion is active in this area" as posted in the kiosk by the bridge leading from the loop north-east to Alder dunes. "Is active", not merely "sighted."

Lovely walk along the beach.. trails diverge South end at the road and you can walk to the light house.

I added on the lighthouse trail to make it 6.6 miles. From forest to beach to vistas to the lighthouse this is worth a stop. Most don’t do the China Creek Loop and it was beautiful.

Very nice walk. Dogs loved it too!

Awesome!!

I didn't have a lot of time for a hike so I just walked from hwy 101 down to the beach and back. It was an awesome little stroll through the dark forest to the Beach. Would definitely recommend this trail.

The weeds on this hike were unbelievably high!! It was hard to see the path and we stopped half way through because we couldn't find the path and we saw several garden snakes!!
