This is a great afternoon hike. The Ridgeline trail is a great warmup for the hike up to the butte. I like to do the full Spencer Butte loop to make it a lollipop loop.

what a great walk.. it has some residential streets and very beautiful trees and river views..

It was a decent hike. It was only 1.8 miles instead of 2.8. Not sure where the extra mile went! :P

Really pretty for a noon walk, but I kept coming upon homeless shelters under the shady trees. Wouldn't do it again alone.

This is a must see view from the top. The main trail is easy, The west side trail is Hard and steep do not bring small children on this trail. Great hike!

Beautiful hike on a perfect day. Hubs thought we were going for a short hike but we ended up going all the way to Spencer Butte Summit

Great trails. Website needs improvement. Get rid of Facebook tie to maps, inexcusably complex and time consuming. It will greatly improve everyone's experience!

Well maintained path for walking and biking.

Nice when I want a flat surface, although it’s quite dusty. Fairly exposed.

Agree with other recent review. There are signs when pulling in saying to lock your car and must admit did see what seemed to be sketchy characters in the area.
Ok hike. Good for a workout.

oh ya I

Nice trail! Mostly well maintained except the southern rim is along a gully where it’s getting rough. The recorded starting point is North Trailhead where there’s no parking pay station at the parking lot. Just less than a mile away to the right at the main parking lot (West Trailhead) , there’re pay station and bathrooms.

Watch your stuff- high crime area. I love Mt. Pisgah, but after my car got broken into & I lost stuff it makes it a less fun place.
It’s also become a college kid hangout these days for some reason- they swim in the polluted river here!

For a moment away from the city and yet in the city...this is the place! We like to bike this trail in late May/June when the ponds are hopping with life. There's so many places to take a moment and enjoy the life around yoh!!

Took trail 1 to the summit, and came back down via 36 and 3. I found trail 1 to be steep, not particularly scenic, and just kind if lackluster. the view from the summit is pretty nice, but not as nice as Spencer's Butte, which is a prettier hike too, albeit far more trafficked. At least there weren't many other people (and I was there in a Sunday afternoon) but there are also lots of trails that are unmarked, and thus kind of confusing to stay on the one you planned.

Worth going once, but unless I go with someone who knows the area better than I, I probably won't be going back. to be fair, I haven't explored the arboretum yet, which I'm sure is pleasant enough

Great trailer with lots of options, variety of wild flowers, and scenery.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH! Sign at trail head clearly states to keep dogs on a leash and every dog I saw was off leash! My dog doesn’t like others (she’s a rescue and had a hard life before me) and I had a few dogs come up to her without an owner in sight!! It’s bad trail manners and could get you’re beloved friend and possibly yourself hurt. Left irritated. To report a dogs off leash call: 541 687-4060

It’s steep! Bring extra water

Nice little peaceful trail along the canal. Pretty peaceful walk. I even saw a guy fishing out of his canoe on the pond. Lots of waterfowl everywhere...

Beautiful hike! Take trail 2 back to the starting spot and walk through the valley. It’s wonderful!

Nice trail. Enjoyed the the river and the canal. Nice to see a more natural trail beside the bike trails.

Good light run trail. Scenic but hard to follow at tmes

We like Baldy as a quickie hike when time is at a minimum.

Lots of Poison Oak on the paths less traveled, be aware of your surroundings. Also had some people let us know that the last hike they went on here they found ticks on themselves. We made it out okay, beautiful day!! I highly suggest going off the beaten path and exploring, very much worth it as the main trail is always busy with people.

Love the whole arboretum. Saw a screech owl napping in a tree on my last hike.
