My new favorite trail! Relatively easy hike — first quarter flat, second quarter up hill, third quarter flat and last quarter downhill. Lots of grassy space on top with 180 degree views from the Cascades to Mary’s Peak. Heard an owl hooting on the lower wooded section.

Nice open flat paved path between the end of Circle Blvd to Harrison. Saw a number of brush rabbits along the route. Unfortunately, ground clearing has begun on a large development near the path and orange plastic fencing has been installed along the route.

Fairly easy hike close to home and fairly short. Trail not well marked so we got lost and found ourselves paralleling Walnut Blvd before backtracking and finding the right path. A bit noisy with road noise and power equipment in use by the apartment buildings adjacent to the trail.

Long gradual descent on gravel road before trail takes off into trees. It’s worth the trek, however, to see the biggest living trees I have ever seen! Wildflowers such as trillium, bleeding heart and yellow violets are in bloom now. Pretty much had the trail to ourselves at 5:30 pm Tuesday. Uphill on the way back.

Easy mostly flat well maintained and marked trail. Five or six types of wildflowers in bloom. Trail is shared with bicyclists, some of whom do not announce their arrival so be alert.

Beautiful trail. Not to difficult even if you’re out of shape. A few good hill climbs, but overall gorgeous and very fun

nice easy hike with beautiful forest views. dog friendly too!

Great fire road hike. Did one off shoot trail to get a little muddy. Good steady incline!

amazing forest. nothing beat being in between the trees with snow all around. Sure made for a fun trip up that steep hill full of snow.

Challenging at times, listened to owl talk to me and enjoyed the snowy view. I took a wrong turn and feel signage could be better. I will go again later Spring as too much snow closer to top. Lots of creek access for my lab so she was happy. 4 star because lack of signs.

Way too muddy today. I guess that’s what you should expect when it’s been raining all week including earlier today. Slipping and sliding the whole way. I think it will be a nice hike ewith a dry “er” trail. There were some pretty big tracks in the mud, which were probably from a black bear or a very big dog or someone with a black bear footprint maker walking stick, whatever that’s called. My dog is “supposedly“ a malamute and German shepherd mix, more on the German Shepherd size and those prints were way bigger than his. At first I thought mountain lion but after a little research, visible claws is unlikely to represent a cat.

Great views and a fun, challenging hike. Took me about 2:40 minutes to finish, I would have been quicker if it wasn’t for the 6” of snow on most of it! Crazy end of March weather.

Well maintained trail, some dog poop, very little trash. Beautiful forest.

It’s my favorite local long trail. On a nice day the view is fairly pretty, but don’t go on a popular day.

Hreay trail. We met the director of Land Trust and learned a lot about the area.

Great place to walk the dog and get some exercise. Beautiful on a sunny day but Thursday there was a rainbow across the little valley and I did not have my phone to take a picture! Trails are still muddy in the shade.

I really enjoyed this hike but it’s not the most scenic.

Perfect length hike for walking my dog highly recommend!!! A little muddy this time of year though

great trail, well maintained. I'm glad I didn't bring my 2 young children as it would have been too hard for them. Definently not stroller/toddler friendly.

This was fun hike. Was a little steeper in places than others said it was. That being said my family of 5 did this hike in a couple hours.

Good hike. I usually change the loop to add in Dimple hill since the view is so amazing especially early morning. we usually start around 6Am and make this trek into about 20 miles.

love the Allen Throop loop but I usually add it to Mulkey creek trail and start at Oak Creek side of bald hill. Cardwell hill I did'nt enjoy as much as these.

I had a great time, but did way more miles than marked, due to getting lost both going up and coming back down. Good work out and hardly anybody else on the trail on a Tuesday.

I enjoy this trail very much. I usually head down the face of dimple hill when I get there and make my way to Oak Creek gate then back the way I came to make it a longer sustained hike.

Nice trail, but a bit muddy at the start on the day we hiked. Great view at the top from Dimple Hill.

Very happy that the people who use these trails clean up after themselves and their animals.
