I took the road up, and the trail down. I'm a little out of shape, but was able to do this entire hike without a bottle of water at around 7pm. It's an easy hike with manageable elevation gain. The views are not good. At least from this trail. Haven't found a good vista of the valley from this area, at least not yet. This hike was EASY.

This trail is a gravel road, but that doesn't detract from the experience. This trail offers a good workout with a nice view of Corvallis and the Willamette Valley on a clear day.

beautiful hike. We took the trail up, and the road back. We did not go to the furthest point due to some off leash dogs running around, which would have been a hindrance for our on leash alpha Aussie, but it was a lovely hike, none the less.

Still a lot of logging going on. It takes away from the serenity of a nature walk.

This is one of my more favorite hikes in Corvallis. It is a little bit longer than others but the feeling of remoteness when you get near the top is awesome. The final hike to the top on a steep single track is very memorable. And like most of the Corvallis hikes, you can do this during winter and fall as it always seem like there's less rain than in the Willamette valley.

Best dog park ever. 33 acres where I can run and my dog can roam.

We ended up going the up hill route and it was beautiful and painful. Great work out. Follow the more worn path, instead of what Alltrails suggests. It will be a more useful climb that way.

Very easy hike and lovely. The little lake is fun for the dogs and is quite pretty. By taking some of the side trails one can add some difficulty and or distance.

Very nice and easy walk.

great trail for a sunny day. if you take the extendo trail to the 600 road you add a couple more miles to the loop and stay off the fire roads for a portion of the hike. the peak is also accessible from the soap creek parking lot.

Great trail to warm up on for the day. I usually head to the top of dimple hill after I finish this trail. To get a good sustained workout.

Did this hike a couple of weeks ago. It is a nice afternoon activity. It was moderately busy. Dogs are allowed off leash. My fur baby loves the water!

Bring pants for this one! There are LOTS of blackberries (native & exotic) on this trail, many are over-growing the trail. I did see some poison oak at the beginning of the trail but didn't see any on the trail itself. There couldv'e been some along the trail mixed in with the blackberries.
There is no trail head marker & no trail markers. It could be really easy to take the wrong trail as nothing is marked. The only reason we stayed on the correct trail is because I had the all trails map up on the phone app.

Nice for a quiet midday hike.

Great moderate hike. Saw a wild turkey and wild flowers. Directions are accurate. Left me wanting to explore the many other trails in that area.

Gorgeous hike! Trails are well maintained.

I rated this trail as one star, not because of the trail itself but because the entrance to the trailhead (off of Garryanna) was covered with poison oak. Since I have had very severe reactions to poison ivy, we decided to hike a different trail.

My new favorite trail! Relatively easy hike — first quarter flat, second quarter up hill, third quarter flat and last quarter downhill. Lots of grassy space on top with 180 degree views from the Cascades to Mary’s Peak. Heard an owl hooting on the lower wooded section.

decent trail. I usually end up way off coarse due to the trail being short. I combine other trails/ roads to try and get my goal of 20 miles a day.

Great fire road hike. Did one off shoot trail to get a little muddy. Good steady incline!

Good trail. Decent amount of people. Not really what I expected, but was still fun. Wouldn’t do it again but glad I did it!

fun easy short trail.

Great trail to make a nice workout. but I am also way outta shape

Easy and nice; not too muddy.

amazing forest. nothing beat being in between the trees with snow all around. Sure made for a fun trip up that steep hill full of snow.

Challenging at times, listened to owl talk to me and enjoyed the snowy view. I took a wrong turn and feel signage could be better. I will go again later Spring as too much snow closer to top. Lots of creek access for my lab so she was happy. 4 star because lack of signs.

Great views and a fun, challenging hike. Took me about 2:40 minutes to finish, I would have been quicker if it wasn’t for the 6” of snow on most of it! Crazy end of March weather.

Well maintained trail, some dog poop, very little trash. Beautiful forest.
