I took the road up, and the trail down. I'm a little out of shape, but was able to do this entire hike without a bottle of water at around 7pm. It's an easy hike with manageable elevation gain. The views are not good. At least from this trail. Haven't found a good vista of the valley from this area, at least not yet. This hike was EASY.

This trail is a gravel road, but that doesn't detract from the experience. This trail offers a good workout with a nice view of Corvallis and the Willamette Valley on a clear day.

Great trails! Cougar sightings recently, and my dogs always get ticks up there

Super short trail. Went on a hot day, lots of bugs, and trail was super overgrown so i went home after 15 minutes of trying to find a clear path

Great paved path near OSU! Perfect for a 2 mile run. Connects to bald hill bike path

Enjoyable trail run. The clearcuts were unfortunate though!

beautiful hike. We took the trail up, and the road back. We did not go to the furthest point due to some off leash dogs running around, which would have been a hindrance for our on leash alpha Aussie, but it was a lovely hike, none the less.

This hike was awesome. I loved the view at the end and would definitely recommend. Plus, you are under cover for a fair amount of time in forest so it isn’t too bad on a hot day. Just make sure you bring lots of water!

My husband and 4 year old and I had fun walking this trail! It was our little ones first trail and we ended up doing both the old and new growth trails. Loved the bridges and lush growth along the way. Will do this again with our extended family!

This is one of my more favorite hikes in Corvallis. It is a little bit longer than others but the feeling of remoteness when you get near the top is awesome. The final hike to the top on a steep single track is very memorable. And like most of the Corvallis hikes, you can do this during winter and fall as it always seem like there's less rain than in the Willamette valley.

Spent Sunday hiking up Bald Hill. It's a beautiful and peaceful area. I am just working on getting back into shape and into hiking, so cresting the top of the bill was most difficult for me, but definitely not so hard that I'd never do it again. Got a great workout, and saw some beautiful scenery and wildlife.

This trail is nice for beginners-moderate hikers because there are multiple cut offs that all you to make a loop as short as about 1.1 miles to as long as 3+ miles.

We ended up going the up hill route and it was beautiful and painful. Great work out. Follow the more worn path, instead of what Alltrails suggests. It will be a more useful climb that way.

Nice trail. I end up on this when I go to McDonald a lot. a good walk in the woods.

great trail for a sunny day. if you take the extendo trail to the 600 road you add a couple more miles to the loop and stay off the fire roads for a portion of the hike. the peak is also accessible from the soap creek parking lot.

great trail. huff and puff at the top.

Beautiful area.

Did this hike a couple of weeks ago. It is a nice afternoon activity. It was moderately busy. Dogs are allowed off leash. My fur baby loves the water!

Baby cows too.

Nice for a quiet midday hike.

Great moderate hike. Saw a wild turkey and wild flowers. Directions are accurate. Left me wanting to explore the many other trails in that area.

Woodpecker Loop Trail is one of my favorite trails at Finley. It's short, but very beautiful and enjoyable. I like to hike all the way around 1 way and then turn around go and hike it in reverse. Doing that, you'll get about 2 and a 1/2 miles in. Great trail, good mix of trees and open sky. Lots of wildflowers in the spring and early summer.

I took this loop to learn about 100 different native weeds, flowers, plants and trees. The trail has quite a bit of poison oak, best to stick well to the trail. A stream and 2 ponds (1 with a bench) are along this trail so good chance to spot frogs. Of coarse, this is a goodly place for birding.

decent trail. I usually end up way off coarse due to the trail being short. I combine other trails/ roads to try and get my goal of 20 miles a day.

Nice open flat paved path between the end of Circle Blvd to Harrison. Saw a number of brush rabbits along the route. Unfortunately, ground clearing has begun on a large development near the path and orange plastic fencing has been installed along the route.

Fairly easy hike close to home and fairly short. Trail not well marked so we got lost and found ourselves paralleling Walnut Blvd before backtracking and finding the right path. A bit noisy with road noise and power equipment in use by the apartment buildings adjacent to the trail.

Long gradual descent on gravel road before trail takes off into trees. It’s worth the trek, however, to see the biggest living trees I have ever seen! Wildflowers such as trillium, bleeding heart and yellow violets are in bloom now. Pretty much had the trail to ourselves at 5:30 pm Tuesday. Uphill on the way back.
