3rd time I’ve been here. The 1hr 40min drive is very well worth it from where I live. The trail is in really good condition as is the parking lot & restrooms. 2.2 mile hike labeled as easy which is accurate. Today’s water was turquoise, and it was beautiful.

Nice hike. Little overgrown in spots and a bit of scramble to get to the falls. The water was beautiful and cool :)

Fun and fairly flat trail for kids with a beautiful waterfall at each end!

A lovely trail that follows the falls and river. A nice, cool breeze along the way. The falls are just beautiful! No parking fee here. After this hike drive down a few more miles to Blue Pool for a more vigorous hike.

Very great little hike! Not too hard at all, some up hill parts, but just enough to speed your breath up. The map seemed to be a bit off, but I’m no expert on that. Very beautiful and green. Plan to go back with a hammock and a book!

good family paths cool on a hot day

First, there's no parking/usage fees but there is limited parking near the gate (right after a large brown/green house on the left and a scenic byway sign on the right), otherwise you'll have to park off the highway. Id say near the gate it'll probably fit 6-7 cars.
Second, this is great for dogs but probably not smaller or older dogs as there are some downed logs and large rocks you have to get over.
Third, there's some streams but easily maneuvered around. I imagine in spring they are not passable without walking through them.
Fourth, there are quite a few spots with growth hanging over the path, no biggie for most, but some may want to wear long sleeves/pants. Some growth is salmon(?)berry bushes with small thorns.
All in all, the hike was awesome! Some spots where you need to hoof it but the end is worth it. The falls near the House Rock are beautiful. Got there at 8 and saw no one else until we were almost back at the beginning.

It is a very short walk to the waterfall. Highly recommend, as the waterfall is amazing!!!

So, did the loop with my friend. Super super pretty, you wont regret it, the views and colors are fantastic. I don't have kids, but if I did, I'd take them. I have a lifeproof case so I got some cool shots underwater and of some fish. I work in the mountains for a living and it was hardly a problem to hike it. My friend who doesn't get out as much didn't have much problem either. I'd recommend, but if you're going in the summer make sure to take lots of water and snacks and take your time!

Very clean trails, good outing for the kids, easy hike with benches to rest for those tired little legs and to eat a quick bite. Beautiful waterfalls.

Really nice hike—recommend starting on the downhill section and coming back along the McKenzie trail.

Great for kids and amazing scenery.

Great Hike! The Full loop is closer to 4 miles, the other side of the river is a little tougher than an easy walk but nothing crazy, will definitely go back!

It was a great hike for us and our 2 dogs. We didn't make the full loop. just walked up to the bridge above Sahalie falls and back to Koosah.

There are amazing views of the waterfalls

The waterfall was beautiful!

Shower easy hike, the trail is basically paved out for you. The falls are absolutely beautiful!

Easy hike, and very beautiful falls!

This hike was absolutely stunning! Though I don’t feel the description here is accurate.
1) Unless I had older kids that were experienced hikers, I would not take them on this trail. There are good portions of the trail that are narrow with steep drop offs.
2) Both my fitness tracker and my husbands told us we’d walked 3.8 miles (connected to gps)

Neither of these things were an issue for us, but as parents (who luckily didn’t have our kids with us) we commented several times on how we would not want to take our kids on the full loop for a few years.

Overall it is an amazingly beautiful hike! I hope to do it again some day!

Great waterfalls with an amazing hike through the forest. Didn’t want to blink.

Loved taking my 4 and 15 year old sons here today! We all had an amazing time! It was a great workout with breathtaking scenery! We will definitely come back here again!

What a great hike! Uphill and downhill varies throughout so that is nice. You can see the river for most of the hike. Both Falls are accessible if you can’t do the whole hike. But if you can, the hike is beautiful and lots of nice shade on a hot day. Started at Sahalie Falls and went down the steps to the left...keep going past Koosah Falls and down to the Reservoir bridge. Take that right and go all the way down to the restrooms. The trail continues down there on the right (but all the way by the restrooms). There are a couple of other inlets on the way but I have no idea where they go I can only tell you that! Go back up on the other side of the river, around above Sahalie Falls, and to the bridge - no the log is not the bridge don’t panic like I did haha keep going it’s very close! More spectacular views as you make your way back to Sahalie Falls parking area. Saw dogs, kids, bikes, etc. very crowded but it’s a holiday weekend.

Great trail with the river in view most of the time, the falls were great. It kinda kicked my but at the end man am I out of shape.

Perfect. Amazing falls. Easy trail.

We weren’t sure if we found the loop trail but started at Sahalie Falls parking lot which is right at the falls. A Beautiful and big gushing waterfall. Then follow A beautiful trail along the water with many soots to stop and take photos. The trail was busy on Mother’s Day so get there early on the weekends. Very little parking too. But well worth the experience. We walked along the water until we got to Koosah Falls. Amazing. We had to turn around there due to needing to get back home. But well worth the drive and time.

Good easy hike, Wish it was longer. Almost think I missed something it was so short but very beautiful!

Simple and well marked trail thru old growth. awesome destination at house rock. only one creek area that is potentially difficult to traverse depending on the water flow

3/29/18 A beautiful day for a hike! Still snow on the trail but doable in trail runners. Beautiful views of crystal clear water and roaring waterfalls. Worth a stop for sure.

I did this hike last Sunday and though I wasn’t expecting it to be cover by snow it was still an awesome hike! The whole way was beautiful river views with mint blue water it was just stunning! I would definitely recommend this hike. One of the most beautiful waterfalls.
