This is a nice, well marked, easy to follow trail, great for beginners with Dry Creek Falls as a big reward at the end. Hikers comment that they love cooling off in the pool next to the waterfall which is also a perfect picnic spot. It's shady and quiet with a few fallen trees to navigate around. Show more

An amazing gorge hike with several beautiful waterfalls, including one you can walk behind. This trail begins at Eagle Creek Campground and ends at Wahtum Lake. This is a nice out and back hike with great scenery of waterfalls, ferns, and rocky outcroppings. It's quite popular with easy vehicle access at the trailhead, so plan to see a lot of other hikers and is part of the Pacific Crest Trail. This hike is not far from Portland and is best in the spring or early summer to really appreciate the beautiful waterfalls.Show more

For updates, please visit https://www.fs.usda.gov/recmain/crgnsa/recreation#conditions. Spectacular path passing many waterfalls, winding through old-growth forests, and along the edges of cliffs. Mild falling hazard in spots, keep the kids and dogs close, but it is family friendly. Some of the ledges have been blasted and offer great views of the canyon below.Show more

Nice trail and a heck of a work out! There are some nice views along the way to the top. As you’ve read from other reviews the top is developed, but you still get that sense of accomplishment when you finally get there. Right now the mountain is icy/snowy up top. You can do the hike with regular hiking boots, but use caution as it is slick coming down. Dress warm! The wind is no joke up there and it definitely cuts through clothes.Show more
