Good signage and lots is waterfalls along the way. Enjoyed this hike. Wear good shoes as some of the rocks can be slippy

Stunt spot. It was very busy when we first got there but then died down. The hike to the top is steep switch backs and not really worth it.

Can be slippery in sections after rains, Devils Rest in itself is not incredibly exciting but good day hike.

My friend and I both clocked this trail at 6 miles. It is not 4.6. We started at the wahkeena falls parliament g lot and hiked up and over to Multnomah falls then you have to take a trail that is 0.6 miles back to wahkeena parking. You cannot walk on the road. Wear good traction shoes bc it’s a bit slick when wet... many waterfalls! Absolutely beautiful!!

Lovely trail with 5 main waterfalls but lots of little ones running through the creek. Near the waterfalls the trail can be a little slippery. Not sure if the mileage in the app is accurate with 4.6 miles. My iPhone health app logged 6.4 miles and my Fitbit logged 7.5 miles my friends garmin logged 7.75 miles. My Fitbit elevation was 1520. Took us 3 hrs and we took pics and stopped for a brief lunch.

Do yourself a favor if you’re traveling through the gorge and hike this loop! We parked at Wahkeena Falls and hiked along trail 420 for a few miles. Beautiful waterfalls and scenery throughout this hike. By the end, Multnomah was nice but the overall hike was awesome. Took 3 hours or so with plenty of stops for pics etc. Make sure to spend some time at Wiesendanger Falls.

Very cool walk with much to see. Really loved it! Beautiful little river with great waterfalls all along the trail. We did the loop trail in 2,5h.

9 Switchbacks on the way up once you get past the viewing bridge, then 2 down to the viewing platform on the top. Decently moderate hike. A little muddy the day we went (after two days of rain), but my trail shoes held traction the whole time. I did see a few people walking very gingerly on their way down in regular sneakers. Lots of burned trees and fence posts along the way, but the trail is in good shape after the fire. Moderately busy for a Monday late afternoon.

More trail work on Franklin Ridge with TKO. Making progress!

Amazing trail with multiple waterfalls. I would HIGHLY recommend it. There is even an opportunity to swim so bring your bathing suit and be prepared for some freezing but amazingly refreshing water. The rocks are a little hard to walk on so bring protective footwear as well if possible. Hike on :)!

Very pretty and kid friendly. Nice stop along our drive - the area had clean bathrooms, places to get snacks and a fun little gift shop. I'd recommend going early in the day. We went in the late morning and as we were leaving people were just flooding in - especially onto the bridge.

REOPEN current title says it's closed but I did this trail on August 18th, 2019, and it's reopened. Was a great hike to get out and stretch our legs at the end of our road trip. Trek to the waterfall is kid friendly.

As others mentioned it is longer than 9 miles, watch had it closer to 12. The hike up to Devils Rest is great, it is overgrown from there to Angels Rest. The descent is also spectacular.

Beautiful waterfalls!

What a magical trail; I felt like I had found heaven on earth! If you are going to visit Multnomah, this trail is a must. There were an obscene amount of people at Multnomah, but barely anyone on this trail. Highly recommend is you are a waterfall lover like me!

Amazing sight, but some of the worse crowds I’ve ever seen!

Great hike! It’s busy so get there early. The waterfall is beautiful and the hike to the top is paved.

Completed with Alyssa Fugat on 8/31/19

Amazing hike! Beautiful view. Lots of uphill. Busy busy as a very tourist activity. Be prepared for lots of people and dogs but so worth it. Took us 45 minutes to go up. There is a gift shop, restaurant, bathroom and booths at the bottom.

Great trail and would highly recommend for any traveler in the Portland area. Definitely opt in for the longer loop as the trails are packed with visitors only hitting Multnomah falls. Crowds thin out from there. Also recommend adding a stop at Wakeena Springs to dip your feet in the fresh spring water!

Fun trail! We started at Wahkeena and ended in the Multnomah area which was pretty busy with tourists but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Trail took 3-4 hours and we stopped at Ecola Falls for awhile which was absolutely breathtaking. We kept our dogs on a leash the whole time due to it being a narrow and highly trafficked trail. Take plenty of water on a sunny day and some snacks.

We came here on Saturday of the Labor day weekend and naturally the spot near Multnomah falls was extremely crowded. There were traffic controllers and when we reached during mid day there was no parking. We luckily found one later. About the trail - we started from side of Multnomah falls. It has a gradual accent for almost half of the trail length. After around 1.5miles we saw beautiful waterfalls and creeks. Simply amazing views and water sounds. Some parts here were rocky but it’s manageable. towards the end too there were beautiful falls - Angel falls, Wahkeen falls. Overall beautiful hike if you are here to feel the paradise of Portland.

It was such a great experience! I just can’t get tired of hitting the same trails over and over again. It’s gets over saturated due the tourists.
