Nice easy trail. Beautiful views.

Nice ride, on way back from Phils trail via KGB an Mervins Garden gives youe great views

Worth the walk!

The trail is short and fairly easy, but the views at sunset were unbelievable! 5 stars for the sunset views! It’s also important to note that gps will take you to the road and not the trailhead. We ended up at the top in our car and had some time before sunset so we just hiked down and back up.

I mean for a city trail, it’s amazing, clean, hills, good scenery.

Great place to walk and talk.

Beautiful waterfalls!!

Great hike but hit it early to avoid congestion.

Always so quiet and love having the dogs off leash with me! You can see so far also- awesome views

This was a nice trail, we started at Tumalo Creek trail and arrived st the visitors parking area to a great view of falls from a distance. I was tired but wanted to get closer and possibly underneath but didn’t do it. Hopefully before we leave I’d like to get to the visitor area on top of falls!

dusty but worth it ! The plaque at the top that represents surrounding mountains was unclear.!

The loop is more like 5.5 miles

difficult to locate actual trail. We stayed on the paved road, beautiful walk, shaded, great photo ops near the river.

Fantastic hike, you can walk almost directly underneath the waterfall!

Great views, if you are lucky there are raspberries to pick on the side of the trail.

Short easy trail for a walk along the Deschutes River. Recommend early morning or evening. Can get hot, very little shade.

go early or late evening, can get warm
very little shade.

Nice nature walk along the river!

It was a great experience. I did about a 13 mile loop and the majority of the trail was shaded so it was nice and cool. The only downside is that you have to run up the road back up where you came from. If there was a way to connect it from another trail this would be a 5 star trail.

Nice little trail!

Nice little trail!

Very enjoyable trail but way too many people. Very convenient and right along the river.

Snowshoed this loop in the winter and it was beautiful. A couple of downsides: the trail is very narrow so you have to be paying attention to skiers or mountain bikers coming downhill, it wasn't super well marked in the winter and we ended up going a mile in the wrong direction. I'd love to try this again in the fall when the leaves change!

Exactly as advertised. This trail is a nice, short distance with beautiful views. Definitely a must at sunset!

This is one of my favorite afternoon loops. It's an easy and peaceful walk!

The map represented on this page is not the First Street Rapids trail. The first street rapids trail starts at the end of NW 1st street. Please rename this trail as the extended version of the Reed Market South River Trail.

Amazing scenery. The best view is right from the small Tumalo Falls parking lot (no hiking required (not always what we want to hear)). There are plenty of trails around, however.
