Hiked on 5/12/18. Car camped with Ali and Denali at the trailhead. Snow started at the beginning of the trail so we snow shoed the whole way. There was a cloud over the top of the mountain the entire way, and as we got closer the wind really started picking up. Our plan was to just go to the lake because we knew there wasn’t going to be a view but we stopped about 1.5-2 miles from the summit because we were hit with 40-50 MPH winds that were throwing snow and ice at us. We didn’t summit but the views of Bachelor were worth it. Really beautiful!

I started at the falls and hiked up. Stunning trails and the waterfalls do not disappoint! I gave four stars because of parking and that can be a stressful experience for some. A lot of bikers so you have to be aware of them and speed of some bikes on certain trails.

I gave the trail review 3 stars because the terrain and other information was as discriped. Seeing the falls was nice and there were a couple other nice views along the way. Otherall thought I would say it as a little boring and I opted to double back instead of continuing to loop back on the forest service load. on the other side, it may be a good walk for dogs?

This was a great day hike. Just park at the trailhead sign and begin walking. The trail was marked with blue diamond tags nailed to the trees, and was very easy to follow. There is a bathroom at the trail head and a the falls. Our 5 and 7 years olds made the 7 mile trip with ease. Picnic tables at the falls for a fun outdoor lunch. Have fun and enjoy the views!

This was a great hike, the gate was open and we were able to drive up to the trailhead. it was very, very heavily used. parking was a nightmare. the falls were beautiful and once you got past the initial falls there were fewer people. had to turn back after a few miles because of ankle deep snow on the trail but a very nice morning hike.

Completed this hike on our Vacation last week! Just came in on the gravel road side of the trail and it was easy to walk and great views! Worth doing if you are there!

Pretty dull trail. Not to say it isn’t beautiful, it’s just that there are way better hikes with less people in the area. This would be a great hike for a young family with a running baby stroller. Lots of people and smooth paths

Awesome trail - easy to follow, great beginner snowshoe, but spectacular views make it perfect for all levels of skill. Didn’t do the loop - just went out and back on the trail side, decided to nix the road section. Lots of fresh powder as of today, but it won’t last long!

This is a great winter get away!! Close to Bend and a good cross country ski!! On the weekend it is really crowded, but on the week day it is a good choice!! The views are spectacular and if you like waterfalls it is a must see!!

Please park in usfs parking lot at trail head not in front of gate during winter months. Too many rigs block access to the home owners further down the road. Nice walk but respect those that live near by.

Beautiful views, dog friendly, perfect run!

This was an easy hike. Majority of it is walking up a gravel road but the scenery isn't horrible. Tried to get back to double falls but encountered to much ice on the trail. There is also a trail to get behind the falls and to the bottom

Enjoyed the loop yesterday. I’m looking forward to exploring more trails.

Beautiful and easy 3 mile loop with a nice shelter halfway in with a wood stove.

Great trail run! The ground was frozen and had bike ruts so some parts I had to take slow so I wouldn’t roll an ankle but other than that it was a great run without too many hills!

Loved the view, this was an absolutely beautiful winter hike! I’d definitely recommend hiking past the top of the first falls, following the river for another mile or so to Double Falls. Level, flat and easy for a majority of the way, the last 1/4 mi to the top of the Falls provides a slight incline for children. The trail loop will begin on a service road, but the loop back was much more enjoyable, in the woods, and secluded. When you hit Silverlake Lodge at the end, the single road bridge next to it will bring you back to the start.

We hiked out and back along the road, in about 4-5 inches of snow. Very flat, easy hiking even with all the snow. Falls were gorgeous. Beautiful day. Our dog loved it too.

Just an all around solid walk / hike!

Well groomed scenic and easy hike.

Great hike. BRING hiking poles! 8-12 inch s of snow. Nice and crunchy on the way up but slushy on the way down. GORGEOUS vista views. Hard hike for sure. Be in some kind of shape or suffer. Loved it. Hiked Oct. 5th (last week) much more snow today I’m sure.

Beautiful hike and easy for kids to complete. Expect a hike from your vehicle. Busy trail.

This gorgeous little trail was the perfect length. It's a little hard to find when you get to the park, but once you're on it, there are clear signs at all the trail intersections.

Amazing hike, lots or snow as of 9/25/17. First stretch of woods had 2-4 inches about a mile in. Flat middle stretch had 8-12 inches. Snow shoes would probably help but its pretty slushy, packed and icy so maybe spikes would work better. Trekking poles are a MUST, and ideally some waterproof socks/boots. We weren't prepared and turned back before the final accent. There was also some posted potential trail closures down by the trailhead that referenced fire activity but it may have been out of date because the trail was fine, and we saw some folks who had made it all the way up and all was fine. Campground at the base was snow-free and beautiful but dropped below freezing at night.

We hiked this in mid September 2017. There were quite a few cars in the parking lot but we had to wait only about 10 minutes before a spot opened up. This was an easy hike on well groomed, wide trails, with a slight but steady increase in elevation. We didn't finish the loop and turned around after only 4 miles because it started snowing heavily and we weren't dressed for snowy conditions.

Snow from basically the parking lot all the way to the top, microspikes are not needed but make a huge difference in the slushy snow.

While this climb allows for some unbelievably rewarding scenery and views, it is not for everyone. You should not attempt it unless you are already in great hiking shape. The final ascent past the glacier is brutal and dangerous, but it is well worth it at the top. The unique part about this hike is all the different geographical challenges, although it is easy to get lost off the trail. Make sure to come prepared for changes in temperature at the top.

Epic Hike!! Great training for our hike to Half Dome in Yosemite. Very hard but worth it. I recommend at least a gallon of total water. I ended up getting dehydrated after all was said and done.
