Have to access from Skyliner trailhead because gate to Tumalo is closed. Great hike, some trees down but nothing that's not easy to get around for a hiker until after this trail ends. Very gentle grade and some amazingly clear water.

One of the most enjoyable hikes I’ve ever been on. It was perfect weather and sooo Lovely. Would definitely recommend!!!

For the most part, a green trail with a few sections of intermediate. Fun, smooth track through pine trees until a the last climb that will was fairly gradual. At the (middle) top, we opted to take a left into some bushes which was said to be a more challenging downhill. The trail had the name "Pines" in it, I believe. It was definitely intermediate and required some attention. At the bottom, we took a left and headed back up the hill which was steeper by this path. It had some technical to it and felt like at least a quarter of a mile of steady climb. It was a challenge to do it without stopping, but we managed. Once at the top, we dropped down (directly east) on a less-used path that eventually fed back into the main trail close to Skyliner's Rd.

Fun mountain biking loop! Fairly easy climbs and decent downhill sections. I have a super cheap bike and don’t take it out much, but still didn’t have much trouble with this trail. Fairly crowded. Not much scenery - just lots of trees!

Super fun! I have a very cheap mountain bike and don’t take it out much, but still didn’t have much trouble with this trail. Mild uphill and good downhill. Fairly crowded. Not much scenery - just lots of trees!

Love this for a easy walk with the dog off leash

Nice views among the falls. Left trail to get to views ... carefully! Take hiker trail (down steps) rather than bike trail - much better viewpoints. Great picnic spots.

Great little trail along the South Canyon. Moderately trafficked on an overcast Corona day! Lots of sweet pups off leash, friendly hikers, & lots of nature sounds! There are several options to veer off the main trail & several spots along the river to stop for some photos or a snack. I will surely hike this trail again!

The Cascade Lakes Byway has opened up, but the trail is still heavily snowy and cars must park just off the highway. There is about 2-5 ft of clear ground on either side of a small creek running near the campground area, and the “floor” of the lake is still dry except for a small portion that is underwater. Heavy snowpack still under the trees. I’d give it another month or so to be clear enough for the actual trail. But right now walking along the creek and the lake bottom is very enjoyable. Just bitterly cold.

Went on a week day morning. Not very crowded. Based on NF signage, I’m not sure this is a trail for mtn biking. But very casual and great for beginners!

Nice hike- open (no shade), relatively flat. It’s great for a cloudy or overcast day- and you can tack on a bit of distance and check out the cave!

Was recommended this trail for mountain biking for beginners but I would say there was a few more technical spots than I was comfortable with. Some of the signage was confusing bc Of all of the trails. But it was a good trail, would go back and hike it

This is a nice easy trail. I took my dog and we had a nice couple hours winding in line with the river. We saw one other dog walking with his human and two trail runners.

Counterclockwise path: Blown over trees further in. Snow on trail in parts steep incline for ascent. Turned around after snow got too much of an trouble ~6 miles in

We loved this trail. We walked in about 3 miles and took a rest in a grassy area to read and have some snacks. Mosquitos started to bite and we took off. Don’t forget bug spray. Endless beauty here—especially towards the end of the day when the birds, fish, ducks are really active.

The trail follows Century Drive so a lot of traffic noise. The river is beautiful...

Great dry hike. Bring lots of water. I recommend clockwise, much easier.

Beautiful day for this walk. The two sides of the loop are limited to one way on each side: South on the west side and north on the east side. Mom and I took the more adventurous paths on either side that require a little more rock hopping, but with more interesting scenery as a reward for the efforts. I love this kind of added adventure, but I have to make sure Mom can also safely follow along on my chosen routes. The Deschutes is crazy beautiful and wild looking along this loop. I've done this walk a number of times, but it never gets old or ordinary.

This trail is by far one of my favorites! So many beautiful trees and river views

Great trail. Well maintained. An easy trail with a few small inclines to keep the hike interesting.
