Nice easy hike! Would be a good running trail.

Didn't see a single soul during my time out there. Good hike and meditation spot!

Pleasant little hike, lighthouse now closed.

Rock formations with stories attached to them. Seals frolicking in the surf. Magical place. Do pick out a visible land mark before hiking. Fog suddenly appeared in a matter of seconds, 0 visibility, a bit nerve racking. It dissipated after a while. Be cautious around rock formations at minus tides. My entire leg swallowed by quick sand at base of rock formation! Fellow hikers pulled me out!

A bit too crowded, (2 or 3 people per visit) for this spoiled Oregonion! Great place for dog walking, running into the locals. Clean.

One of my favorite spots on the Oregon Coast. Definitely recommend at low tide!

What a relaxing hike along the beach and absolutely breath-taking. The ocean booms in your ears and there’s lots of gorgeous wave action. The rock formations are enormous making for quite a sight to see. This is what heaven looks like, I bet.

Incredibly beautiful beach with no one on it but me and my dogs. Big wide, flat beach with firmly compacted sand. Bring a few hundred people and a lot of soccer balls and have a tourney. Plenty of great space for it. The cloud formations here were awesome today after an early rain.

Came across this beach coming back from the Coquillle Lighthouse. Pretty flat beach with no rock formations but a beautiful day with one lone fisherman trying to coax a nice fat surf perch to his hook... A gorgeous day to be at the beach!

Interesting area with a nice flat, well groomed trail. Maybe 20% of the trail is sand and it"s a pretty level trail. This area reminded me a little of Tolowa Dunes but was in better shape. Curiously peaceful area to me. For some reason it made me want to do yoga...which i rarely have done. Maybe should rename New Age Trail... Might have rated it higher but you have to walk on a gravel road twice to complete the loop. No bueno! I fouled up my track but I'll post it just for the pics.

Not really a walk but some nice views of the river and jetty. Very small oddly placed lighthouse. Maybe the lighthouse was there before the jettys were built? Didn't go inside because I had my dog with me.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this trail. An immediate plus for us was that dogs were allowed along the trail. It was a surprising challenge due to the amount of loose sand (which is the majority of the trail - I see why the last section was labeled hard), but after a bit of rain I bet the trail would be easier to walk along. The trail has a variety of options to choose from - so you don't have to do the full loop, you can make the loop longer, you could walk along the beach instead of parts of the trail and there are several spots to access the beach. The landscape varied which was refreshing. We were able to walk through the dunes, on the beach and through some forested areas. After the trail it is just a short couple minutes to check out the light house. Heads up that this is a trail that people can horseback ride on, so you may come across horse poop here and there.

Huckleberries, soft trail and cooling breeze made for a very nice hike.

One of the highlights of our vacation! It was a foggy, chilly morning. The sun finally made its debut around noon. Beautiful rocks - the massive ones and the ones that fit in your hand. Thrilled we got to see a few harbor seals playing near the rocks. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy this walk on the beach.

I would definitely do this again at low tide.

This is beautiful! My favorite time to do this is really early in the morning when the tide is out. So much to look at. Driftwood, rocks, starfish, sea anemones, chirping birds and crashing waves. I love this!

I thought it was good. I like the lake and river and mossy trees! I was hoping to see more ocean, but little. trails are sandy so some may find it harder to walk! I didn't see much of any habitat. there are car roads to boat ramps so not all hiking is on a hiking trail! you might want to bring water for the somewhat lengthy trek!

This is such a beautiful beach and a nice easy stroll. There's a more adventurous excursion along the jetty where we saw seals playing. A stop at Old Town for shopping and fresh seafood was a perfect ending.

It's an ok little walk around. Not a great view of the ocean but a little. Really nice lake (Muddy Lake), that was my favorite. It's only 3.2mi if you go out and back each spur.

The road trip from Northern California to Seattle included a stop on the Oregon Coast. I still remember the sunset and it's worth a visit. I've only been once.

This is a lovely trail that runs through a number of habitat types. The pond is especially serene and Walden-esque. I went on a Friday morning and didn't see anyone else on the trail.
