yes, homeless use the area but no conflicts. Everyone I met was friendly. It is very pretty and easy on knees.

Nice trail.

A bunch of homeless people live here... no go

Very quiet, Dogs are allowed off leash which is cool. Only issue was the trail markings were a little hard to understand. There are multiple trails a long the route and it’s confusing because you don’t know if it comes back to the original trail. Ended up walking for about two hours and just turned around so I knew I would get back at my car haha. Also very maintained and moderate walk.

There is some truth to the vagrancy in the park and on the trail. They're harmless, and they'll leave you alone. Law enforcement is down here fairly often to watch them. Saying that, I won't park my car at Bowman Park. I live a few miles from downtown Albany and I'll make a day of walking to Davis Clark Path and down through this trail to enjoy the water. The views, the quiet in a noisy town, it's worth it. An easy trek to get 5-6 miles each way if the waters are normal or low height and you start at Monteith.

Nice place to walk.

It was a nice walk, not too hard and didn't see a lot of people there.

There was some really high water so most of the trail was several inches under. Doesn't take much I guess since it's right next to the river. Nice area though.

Lots of unsavory folks hanging around, other than that it's a decent trail for Albany.

just walked this trail with my toddler comma we had a great time even in the rain. pretty easy for the most part. nice and mostly through the trees

The descriptions provided by others are pretty consistent with I would've said. Good path for a short afternoon out, without having to travel far. Occasionally I have found random people and their personal belongings along the side trails, they are kind people but if that sort of stuff makes you nervous I'd recommend going with a friend.

We live within walking distance of this park. The trail is family friendly, ideal for young kids because it's level, paved, and tucked away from the road. There is a playground, a dog park, and a creek that you can fish in too.

NOT OKAY FOR CHILDREN!!!! This is the drug hangout of Albany's parks!!! The trail is beautiful but full of drugged people who watch you. I don't recommend ever!!!

Shady people in the area not a very safe trail

I do not recommend going here, it's full of weird people (drugged groups of people) who stay late in vehicles getting high and watch you. Not kid friendly!!!

This starts in the parking area for Talking Waters park. It's a decent but short trail. Highly recommend it if you want to have a nice walk or bike through the woods but don't want do travel to far out of town.
