Explore the most popular views trails near Sand Springs with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

Read the whole review! Trail is great. Lots of loops off for mountain bikers. If you do both and start left it’s just over 5 miles. But..... we were out here early on a Sunday and our truck window got broken out and some things were stolen. Broad daylight. Someone must have disturbed the thief bc a wallet and some cash were left and they took our extr ring of keys. If you come out here leave your windows down and nothing in the car, or be ready to tell 911 it’s Tulsa County and wait for a while while they transfer you and then send a deputy. .

Variety of terrain, wear pants (many ticks), neat mushrooms, no lake views, many additional loops, single file pathway, not well traversed, not busy

Great hiking for entire family and sometimes your furry kid

Early in the season, and some trees are just beginning to put out leaves. I enjoyed the trail, and I think I only went about half way because of time constraints. Pleasant walking, some wildflowers in bloom. Quiet and comfortable. Not too challenging, but fine for beginners or occasional hikers. There were two different benches to rest at if one cares to. I took pictures and walked altogether for about an hour.

Great trail to keep you busy for a few hours...depending how fast you hike. I like to stop and take pictures and enjoy the views. We hiked 5 miles with total walk time a little over 2 hours. If you stop a lot along the way you can take up to 4-5 hours

Great hike. Had a 1 mile stretch called Wilson’s Trail that was semi difficult. Great views and the kiddos had a good time chasing little lizards around. Just wish their hours were better. Only 8-2 on Saturdays.l since volunteers help run it.

Trail was not marked/blazed, their are several trail paths to take, but none are "blazed" to let you know which one to take.

Nice length...signage SUCKS.

I would have given this trail four stars if the smaller of the two loops hadn't been completely overgrown on the 1.3 mile section listed. There's another trail called the "Ridge Trail" which is not on the map here, and is quite nice, but forked off a few times without adequate signage.

While you're not in the WILDERNESS and can't really get too lost, it'd be nice if the State Park did a better job of signage and trail maintenance in spots. The first section does follow the road quite a bit, so keep that in mind, too.

Easy enough to bring kiddos or a nice afternoon walk. The road is visible most of the trail. Not my personal favorite and not very inclined or challenging at all.

This was an easy loop we took the kids on. It was really fun and simple for a family with young kids.

It's a pretty weak trail. Short with no incline and the road can be seen.

Very short trail not remote at all. You can see a major road for most of it. It's good if you just want to go for a quick easy hike.
