Explore the most popular river trails near Oklahoma City with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

I’ve walked the trail to the north and the SW service road and both are neat but otherwise boring. I mostly go walking off road into the refuge itself. Far more to see, some awesome trees to be found and the occasional deer, turkey, or pig can be seen. Overall not a bad spot, needs to be burned to clear out old dead tree litter and leaf build up and get more food for wildlife, but being so nestled in the city that’ll never happen. Waterway is popular with kayakers and paddle boarders.

Dogs and I come all the time to walk the bike trails and the paved trails. Occasionally we cross the street behind the fish hatchery and wander around over there in the tall grass, maybe chase a fee deer. Love this park with it being tight in town!

One of my favorite places to ride. It starts on 10th and council and connects all the way to the OKC river where you can continue all the way to the boat house with dedicated trails and loop back for a 30mi ride if you choose. This section here is around 8mi each direction. It’s very secluded with lots of dress and is very nicely maintained .......hope they keep it up!
They are continuing to develop it making more access points all along the trail for people who live in different parts. You pass a couple of nice lakes making the hole trip very rewarding.

Bluff creek is a super convenient place to do a little single track riding. Terrain is pretty technical and twisty with quite a lot of roots that have been washed out.
The trail is around 4 miles and is a pretty decent workout. Takes around 25min to complete.
The local park surrounding it is amazing with paved running trails and a park for the kids. On Tuesday’s it’s pretty busy with a local kids mountain bike club meeting in the even nags Aron’s 6:30.
Over all it’s a safe and fantastic park to walk, ride, or bring your family for the afternoon.

Dirt road with no elevation changes. Good shade from the trees though - better than some of the sun exposed paved biking paths.

very very pretty! i hiked the bike trail as soon as the sun came up. no one else was on it and it was lovely.

One of the best if not the best place in Okc to hike and enjoy nature. The trails are well maintained and there is a nature center and clean bathrooms and a playground area and picnic pavilion.

First one of the year and couldn’t be happier with it.

Great for biking. Surroundings make for a nice ride.

Great easy hike. I only did 5 miles but it was pleasant and the paved trail is well maintained and wide. Great way to spend time out doors.

Nice place to run or bike on trail right in the middle of Okc

Farm road or never taken care of path. Had to chase away a turkey which was awesome.

But all and all wasn’t that good

Love this trail and close to home!

A wonderful park in close proximity to the city for spending the day with your spouse. While not much spring scenery was in effect, the park was well maintained and heavily used.

Great for mountain bikers probably the best off-road biking and hiking trail

Will probably not go back again. Lots of litter...
I did not feel safe going this alone...

Nice trail. Tracked the bike loop on foot as 3.75 miles on my garmin.

The trail is not very visible at all and towards the end I mostly just walked the service round on the edge of the forest.

I wish there was a little more direction on which way to go so that I could get the full 4 miles in.

Very pretty. I only wish that they had more offbeat paths for hikers. I'll definitely have to come back and try the mountain bike trails!

easy lots of greens

Couple stars earned for the distance and occasional peaceful spots of scenery, but overall pretty underwhelming and boring. The first mile and change of the trail also has exposure to local road and aircraft noise.

Very disappointing!

No, I was not expecting Mt. Everest, I understood the "easy" rating. Essentially. the entire hike is on a farm road with tire tracks/Rita throughout. There are short spurs leading you down to the river. There was shade pretty much throughout. I saw a few animals during the hike (rabbit, box turtle). It was quiet and peaceful to a degree but largely lacking in sights and grandeur. I took my dog with me. A little guy or girl would do alright, although, again, very little changes.

I won't make a second trip...

It was ok... There was an area where we were next to a busy road and the noise was super loud.

This place is good for kids starting out on the Mtb. Hikers everywhere, so that sucks.

If you mtb any where else this place will bore you. It has three 'jumps' built in and a few berms (that need attention), but the jumps all huck to flat. kinda lame overall

Beautiful, easy hike for young children and the access to the water is nice for extra exploring and fishing.

Nice little park in the city however, people let their dogs off leash and neglect to pick up after them. Beware the poop.
