I walked this trail on a very hot afternoon in June. Probably not the best time of year to go, because of the heat, but still felt like it was worth it. I am an avid hiker, and while this felt more like a walk than a hike....I thought the area was beautiful and enjoyed my time on this trail. There were lots of warning signs for snakes, but didn’t see any. I would feel fine bringing pets or children on this hike, just watch some of the cliff-edges. They aren’t high in elevation, but there aren’t railings or signs warning of the drop off.

This trail is part of a system of several other trails. The map it shows is accurate but you can also go off of the map and connect to other trails not listed to increase the miles you hike. There are some clearly post signs with some great names, boneyard trail lead to a makeshift table with animal bones on it. Not a hard trail we had a 7 year old with us and he did great!

This trail is part of a system and has amazing views, don’t be afraid to check out some of the trails that branch off of the one your on. We found what appeared to be an old camp ground with bathrooms that where abandon. The boneyard trail was exactly as it sounds. Very well maintained and really great rock over hangs. Can’t wait to go back!

Nice trail with a over look to the lake! The trails not easily marked so we just made our own way. We enjoyed the out doors and had a great time!

My wife and I hike these trails all the time. Beautiful Scenery, nicely curated. While Trail 1 is highlighted on this site, 4 is lovely and #2 and #3 serve as connectors South of Veterans lake.. Easy to mix and match trails.

Another Beautiful place in Oklahoma! Super cool rock formations, woods, wildlife, flowers, cactus, and a nice view at the top! The only issue we had was the trails are not marked well. There are signs here and there but also a lot of off trail paths. I had to use the app several times. Be prepared to be out in the sun because it’s around 60% of no shade. Lots of small and large rocks on and off trail, some hills, and some decent step ups in a few places. Also, first time hiking with my 1 year old German Sheppard! He had a great time and definitely loved sitting in the water at the end!

Mosquitoes were swarming us even with bug spray. The side trails looked interesting but we stayed mostly on the main trail.

This is NOT an easy trail. More appropriately a moderate trail. A bit overgrown in some areas but the trail is fairly well marked. There are three trails all together, and it’s a little tough to stay on the right color. Lots of rock climbing/hopping. We took a three and five year old, and they did pretty good. Beautiful views.

Beautiful and fun! Perfect length for a light workout! The only part that was disappointing was the path was not clearly marked, and we got off trail a few times which extended our journey. Overall, it was a blast! Definitely recommend!

Really nice trail, easy to navigate. Took us through rock terrain and grassy flats. Overall a very nice trail worth the drive. Beware!! You have to pay to park $10 online.

I haven’t hiked in a couple years and needed the work out. Don’t be deceived by the trail called blue and look out for ‘Huffy Hill.” It’s easy on the way down, but it’s practically uphill all the way and while relatively gentle incline if you’re not in shape you’re going to give your heart a decent workout. I recommend doing it in the summer for maximum benefit. It was about 95 degrees and 71% humidity and I was soaked when I got to my car, but I was pleased with the workout. The reason I gave it three stars and not higher is because the lake is not particularly attractive and the vegetation while green is devoid of other colors than brown.

It’s a beautiful park with a lake view, You can do all of this trails together they are connected. It’s also another one which is not in this app de some reasons. I ran all of them I took about 1,5h

It was a very beautiful trail! Loved the shaded and green scenery. Except for the fact that I was covered in thousands of seed ticks after 4 miles. Had to leave and get showered, it was disgusting!

First, I really enjoyed most of this trail. 70% was wooded and peaceful. The gentle changes in elevation kept it from being boring, as well as all the animals and plants. I saw turkey vultures, rabbits, squirrels, and tons of other birds. With that being said, the entire forested area is covered with poison ivy. Even some on the trail. At any time, you have poison ivy on both sides of the trail. It will be a miracle if I somehow manage to not get it from this hike. Also, any of the parts that are not wooded have seed ticks. I was prepared for ticks (sprayed all my clothing and shoes in 50% deet, used a lower % deet on my skin, wore pants, high socks, long sleeves, etc), but there’s not a lot you can do to prevent seed ticks. They climb into your shoes, your socks, etc. The main way to prevent them is to maintain the trail, which is another issue I had. The wooded parts need to be cleaned up, so there’s not as much ivy on/right beside the path. The non-wooded areas just need maintained better in general. The last issue I had was towards the end of the hike, when you have to walk on Seward Road. The “trail” beside the road is not a trail. It has weeds growing up to shoulder height. It is a bit more dangerous, but I recommend staying on the road/bridge on that section instead of attempting to walk through all the weeds. It was pointless to me. I think this area could easily be maintained a bit better — especially since they charge a daily fee to hike or ride here. I will definitely return though. Like I said, the main part of the hike was fun, pretty, and relaxing. I gave it 3 stars, but could see it being a 4-5 in winter possibly, when the seed ticks and poison ivy aren’t so prevalent.

We started on this trail and then moved on to the others to make the hike longer. This trail does have a lot of paths the branch off with no clear direction on which path to stay on. We just winged it and enjoyed the time outdoors winding through the wooded area until we linked up with mindfulness vibes trail. Very peaceful and easy terrain.
