Challenging fun rocky rewarding hike

great trail and great for kids! my 3 yr old daughter whooped butt on this trail!

This has been a family favorite for years- I took my 4yo grandson this weekend (we usually hike Elk Mountain together but it was full) and he loved it and did great. Bring water- not much shade on this trail and it can get toasty!

Took 8 kids ages 5-13. Not too difficult for any of them. Though you are climbing a little bit. The falls were barely trickling but still pretty.

We camp here regularly and this is a must do trail each time we come. Beautiful views all the way around. You can also access it from the campground.

Moderate hike but kinda tough to see the trails in the fall.

A lessor trail at Wichita, but all should do. the Falls would be spectacular when running. Need to couple this with the Wilderness trail.

I loved this trail. The falls was not too far away from the start point and was a perfect place to relax before ending the hike. However, if you get bit by mosquitoes easily like I do bring your bug spray. Also be careful if you go off the trail a little bit because there is poison oak. Granted this is if you decide to go past the falls and on the trails behind it.

Simple, but rugged trail with some loose gravel. Moderate inclines. Falls were barely flowing today. Not recommended for kids under 5 or those with limited mobility. No facilities at trailhead, so plan accordingly.

Little Baldy is fun to climb around, and thought he trail is hard to discern (there’s a trail?), its easy to see where you going. The Damn you cross at the start of the trail offers a nice view. Cool, but short hike.

I got sick on the trail and had to head home. But I'm definitely planning to visit again.

well marked, easy hike with quite a few off-shoots down to the water.

My husband and I took our 4 children ages 5-14 on this trail and we all loved it!

Nice trail. Has lots of little offshoots so be careful about getting off the trail. Recent rain gave us a great waterfall. Pretty rocky terrain, but the kids (7,9) handled it just fine.

This is a good hike for kids. We've taken it many times from Camp Doris and a few times from the bridge. It's pretty easy but there are pretty wildflowers and occasional wildlife along the way. We saw mountain boomers, small lizards and a few deer.

Nice trail. Good for kids. There is a nice creek and waterfall. Great for learning about birds, lizards and wildflowers. You could even go fishing. There is a picnic area at the trail head, too. If there was a restroom I'd give it a fifth star.

I sort of stumbled on to this trail, without a plan, except to kill time. It was a good little trail, has a steep section. Worth doing.
