It is a nice easy trail. My wife and I went in the morning while it was raining, most of the trail is covered. We obviously got wet which was fine. Be sure you pay attention for the first blue trail marker, take the first left there when the trail splits. You’ll be good from there. Enjoy!

Hiked it in the rain and loved it! The markers seemed to be missing in a few places and I think we ended up on another trail because our path looks very different than the map here. We ended up making a loop. I would say the incline is a little more challenging than “easy”, but the views at the top were stunning. We did 1.5 miles in 53 minutes, but again, we didn’t follow it according to this map.

Great trail! We saw a lot of deer through the trail. Beautiful views of the lake!

Watch closely for trail markers, the first set is an arrow and a badge.

Take the FIRST left you come to...watch for markers. Walk the trail CLOCKWISE

lots of missing markers and very faded blue paint spots...

The overlooks above the river are beautiful!

Good trail..less than 2 miles. Lots of traffics noise

Trail map above is not accurate; this is a looped trail. Trailhead is directly across from Dogwood Campground on 259A. Beautiful, short trail... nice little incline on the way out.

Enjoyed our first hike at Beavers Bend. Beautiful trail with nice views of the lake. Saw a few other hikers with dogs on the trail; likely busier than normal as it is Labor Day Weekend.

Great hike

Fun walk but again difficult in the heat. Walked in 2 miles and turned around and came back.

It was a tough climb in the heat. I had connected it with the South Park trail and walk back to the heritage Center through the campgrounds and ended up with 4.3 mile walk. The heat made it hard yesterday.

This was a nice hike and a little more difficult than we anticipated in the July heat. We had trouble finding the end of the trail when you come out at the Heritage Center but found a sign for the David Boren Trail which took us back.

Just a trail we always do. Beautiful overlooks and not too tough. Blazes need to be repainted though. The map above is off, I think. Cedar Bluff loops back to the starting point. This shows the path taking a goat trail that exits in 259A. There is a sign there now to stop you from taking this pathway.

Some climbs. Rocks and path are beautiful. Fully shaded and the views are worth it! Toddler and dog (on leash) both did great.

Great trail with a special bonus down by the river. A Native American Trail marker tree is along the trail. It has no special signs to identify it, but it is obvious if you look around.

This was a very easy trail. It was very clean and easy to follow. The only way you would get confused on this trail is if you did not look at the map at all. There are a few entrances to the trail, but these are all marked. Good views on the side that goes along the lake.

Great time with our 13 & 11 yr old and golden retriever. Some parts were a little steep for younger daughter. We saw squirrels and deer. A couple spots make good photo oops.

Great trail. Got lost at the end and had to finish on the road. We did not have an app. Wish we would have had this.

Great workout with scenery but doesn’t have an “ah-ha” look at that view moment!

Great trail but very easy to get off on a different trail. They are marked but a bit confusing.

Nice trail! Some steep sections but not difficult—mostly downhill. My husband and I completed it in 1 hour 33 minutes. Happy trails!

Note that it combines with other trails, so we had to double check directions a couple of times (trailhead map is faded; overall, when in doubt— stay right). Animal Review= lots of lizards, frogs, 5 deer, and a black snake.

Currently pretty over grown and part of the trail was pretty slanted. Little kids will need a hand to hold, but overall, a great trail!

Definitely a moderate hike! Especially if you start at the 1st entrance to path. Strenuous climb up. Lots of large stones in path so watch your footing. Beautiful scenery.

Good family hike. There’s not much of a look out at the top. The trail is very rocky and narrow but it is well marked. Easy to follow the signs for my children learning to hike.

One of my favorite short hikes up at Beavers Bend, lots of Scenic Views and wildlife!

Great route for a mild workout with the family, dogs, this is perfect! Behind the Lodge is a fantastic lake entry for them to play and cool down after! Bring water shoes for the lake.

I really enjoyed this trail. However in some parts it is more on the moderate side.

This is a nice trail. The only issue is there are really no markings. The sign at the trailhead says the trail is marked with red and white paint. This is not the case. It’s easy to start following the wrong trail at intersections. Make sure you have gps on.

Thought it was going to be easier. Then it kept going up and up and up. Good hike. Would have liked that last log cut to avoid crawling under.
