Great views, and mini waterfalls. This trail could use a looping trail from the end, down the hill and back over to point W. Possibly using part of the White Trail.

I hiked this trail today, and with the rain storm from last night, I expected the worst. It was okay, as I only had to scale a couple creeks with teetering skills on fallen trees, and make my way thru the water logged trails in spots. As said, this trail is only 2.15 miles long in one direction. I tallied 4.3 miles total from looping it back the exact same way.

Great park with a lot of amenities

Very nice trail, one of the better ones I've been on. Great views and a couple nice water features. Trail maintainers have done a great job, you can tell they are actively to working to repair the few washed out bridges and blow downs from the flooding this winter/spring. I started at the trail head at the Visitors Center and went south. Next time I will go north 1st and get the hilly section done with fresh legs. The road walking was a little unnerving, but only lasts a short while. Trail was very well blazed, would be tough to get lost.

trail running

This paved trail would be great for a leisurely walk or bike ride. I made a two hour trip to run this path and it's side trails. The Quarry Rim Trail has some great views of a limestone quarry. The Chestnut Trail has some serious elevation gain with a decent view as payoff. You can access both trails from the main paved path. The wet bridge area has suffered from flooding, so it was extremely muddy when I went through. The Main Parking Lot is paved with quite a few spaces and a bathroom. The West Parking Lot is a small gravel lot off the side of the road. The area is well maintained and I would recommend if you live somewhat close. There is nothing spectacular here, but it's a nice little area to explore.

Great hike around the lake!!

Nice short hike with lots to see! A boardwalk covers most of the trail and leads you to the water or to an observation deck. Great place to hike at sunset.

Nice trail and boardwalks. Several opportunities to walk and see the water. Trails were severely flooded.

Nice loop trail that has access point to the water. Saw some deer and a creepy abandoned building as well.

good trail cliffs, water falls, little bit of road walking, greats views of the lake. trail is more like 12.7 miles. 4-21-18

The river was so pretty
Falls were somewhat underwhelming
The hike back was hard ! Good workout to climb up

Took our grandson who is 22 months old today. We had a blast. would recommend this trail.

Great trail

on Dogwood Trail

Awesome views, but a bit more involved than just a simple trek. A variety of trail settings (beach by the lake, uphill, trail through dogwood trees, next to the river, rocks, streams), and a great workout!

I hiked the 15 mile loop yesterday for the first time. Easy to follow the white blazes, except once around the oil wells it got a little confusing but easy to backtrack. It's muddy right now so definitely wouldn't recommend just gym/running shoes.
Overall a great trail and good hike. Finished in about 6 hours with some breaks for lunch/water. Saw deer, hawks, and wild turkeys. The camping spots look great and next time I'll be spending the night.
Make sure you have a car that can handle the gravel road in/out, nothing bad but worth noting.
Also there was "water cache" leftover from trail angels but don't count on water resources on the 15 mile loop.

Nice hike.

Super muddy, which is to be expected in Spring. Much of the trail is a mowed path with overgrowth beside it. Only small parts are actual wooded hiking trails.

I hiked the Lakeview Trail all the way around the lake today. I would say 50% was easy, 25% moderate, and 25% hard. There was a lot of damp spots, some so wet you could not pass and had to climb up rough terrain to make your own path to get around. Only experienced and agile hikers should attempt this feat. It was 8.05 miles long in my Samsung Hiking app, and 7.6 miles on the Alltrails app.

Very nice sloping trail that leads to the lake by way of the maple sugaring area. One of five areas in Ohio which was never clear cut. Huge trees and home to Barred Owls.

Nice hike along a brook. Didn’t see anyone else on it.

Lovely views of the lake, plus a little more elevation than the furnace trail. It’s not very secluded.

Love it here!!!!

Really liked this trail. Pretty views. Lots of things to do other than hike.

I drove over 50 miles one way to get here and didn't even get to go hiking because the pull off where you park was full.

Well maintained and marked. Nice wooded area walk.

shred the gnar!

Trails were in good shape even though we’ve had heavy rains lately. A few areas are tricky, but the group of 11 Scouts and 2 younger siblings had no problems. Parking lots are nice and have bathrooms & Water.
