Great trail for almost anyone to use - be careful going in the winter, as the steps and the trail itself completely ice over.

Fantastic hike. Get out early to miss the crowds. By 10:30am the trails are packed, especially byThe Old Man’s Cave area.

Great hike. Started around 730 and the place was EMPTY. By the time I left it was packed. Glad I got to experience this gorgeous park. Still can’t believe it’s located in Ohio!

The trail is pretty crowded in the beginning and cave areas but otherwise it was nice. Wife and I enjoyed the buckeye trail section the most.

Solid loop. The rim views are amazing. Lots of stairs so be prepared.

A great site seeing place to hike. If you go on a weekend it will be very busy.

Absolutely beautiful! My 4 year old son saw his first Monarch butterfly of the season on this hike. Lots of fun.

The trail was ok. I wish it was marked better. The cave was beautiful. I went early so that was enjoyable! Towards the end there were TONS of people out hiking! I would say I enjoyed Mohican better but I do like the caves.

with way to o many people. Might as well walk in a city somewhere.

Great hike. Went out on the Gorge Overlook and back in on the Buckeye trail. Just strenuous enough.

Did this trail this morning. Beautiful walk, stairs gave a little workout, but overall it was great.

Very hot day! The trail and hot spots were crowded, but it did not bother the beauty! A nice moderate hike.

This rim trail hike was very beautiful. After a rain, you need to be careful. There are signs and warnings indicating people have fallen to their death or serious bodily injury. On the day we went, it was two days after a rain and the ground was wet in many areas. We then hiked into the gorge which I thought was a little more beautiful.

Too many people and they withhold nature from you by saying you can’t swim.

Another great trail in the hocking hills area. A little crowded at the start of the trail but in between the points of interest it’s a nice quiet trail

Love this area and the overlooks are absolutely breathtaking

Love this place to go hiking. It's a good medium trail to hike and I particularly like this trail during the winter.

It’s gorgeous, but I have yet to catch it when it’s not overly busy.

This area is awesome. the trails have been rerouted through the years to reclaim certain areas. They are also destroying a lot of land to build their buildings and tourist attractions. to fund these new attractions and buildings, they are constantly ticketing for things like; dogs off leash, hiking off trail, swimming. the "enforcers" at this park are not respectful. while this is a strip of a longer hiking trail, this particular area has been taken over as a tourist attraction. not a hiking experience. Also there are no trash cans SO PICK UP YOUR TRASH. PACK IN, PACK OUT.

Nothing better in this area. It can even be turned into a loop and backpacked if you talk to the rangers ahead of time;
I would recommend starting from Ash Cave, head to Cedar Falls, then take the rim trail to Old Man’s Cave, and returning by way of the gorge trail

Great hike, hiked this a lot as a kid with my family

Beautiful scenery but pretty congested with people. Might be better early in the morning or in the evening.

I live fairly close and do this hike at least once a summer with my dogs. I recommend parking at Cedar Falls and hiking from there to Old Mans Cave first. Then hike on a different trail (thus forming a loop) from there back to Cedar Falls. That’s about 6 miles. I stop at this point to give my dogs a break and do a picnic lunch since the car is nearby. Then from there we hike to Ash Cave and back (another 6 mile round trip but not a loop trail). That makes a total of about 12 miles for the day. It gives both the dogs and me a good workout for the day.

cool area very easy just alot of stairs

Awesome views. Keep children close at hand. Some parts of the trail lead you right along the cliff edge.

Plenty of places to stop to cool down and get wet! Fun!!

Nice short trail with cool stone bridges and small water fall. A little over crowded but still nice.
