Very scenic. The main loop is in good condition and mostly runnable with some very steep sections for a good workout. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Didn’t see another person even though I ran it on a Saturday morning in decent weather.

Overall, great little trail. Went for a sunrise hike and it was beautiful, no one else on the trail. The ridge trail section of loop was my favorite; only downside was hearing cars. It’s not a sweeping view, but there’s a nice little nook looking over the river. Appears there are some nice side trails to explore next time.

We had a great time. Even after a day of rain the trail wasn’t bad.

Very decent trail. Good variety of relatively flat parts with good mix of some somewhat challenging inclines and declines and rocky parts. Nice overlooks to the river then a section runs along the creek, then a forest-y type area. Again, nice little mix here.

Great trail! hard to find trail heads. just park in the gravel and follow the creek till you find one. only knock is you hear cars and or trains at all times on the trail.

Nice climb with beautiful view of the Ohio River from the top. The parking lot is not marked but the all trails app assured us that we were at the right spot for the trail head.

Lots of trails not on map so it's fun to explore.Lots of good elevation changes to get a good workout

For our first visit, we had a little difficulty finding a starting point. There is a sign for the trail close to River Road, but the parking to get started was farther up on Bender Road.

Bender Mountain trail is a great gem of Hamilton County. Thanks for the trail maintenance.

Beautiful views, tons of trillium plants, well maintained, great location. Enjoy!

Short but really fun technical trails, lots of good elevation changes.

Great for doggo walkin and bits of water splashin.

I love this little trail! It is sufficiently challenging, especially if you take the PawPaw trail down the other side of the ridge. It’s well marked and has some great views of the river (at least with no leaves on the trees!)

beautiful views. Totally worth the walk

My boyfriend and I love to take our dog out on this trail. The creek at the base is nice and the paths straight up the hill give you a pretty good work out. We come here often.

So beautiful on a fall day . Easy with kids .

Loved it!! Great hike, great views.

What a great trail. Thanks to all those who do the hard work to maintain it. North and South Paw Paw trails bisect it making it possible to do all sorts of workout routes of varying difficulty. I backpack it for strength training and run it for aerobic endurance workouts. Have taken my grandson on it at night with headlamps. The tree trunks are punctuated by the glowing eyes of huge wolf spiders. Hiking it in winter snow and ice with crampons is a treat because you’ll have it all to yourself. It is an absolute treasure. Try running it to the soundtrack of “Last of the Mohicans”. Don’t miss the spring display of all sorts of wildflowers.

Well maintained, picturesque and challenging. Water feature too!

Healthy climbs, can take Paw Paw Gap Trail as a shortcut. Downhill Eagle Scout Trail is very nice. Benches at different lookout points. Slippery when wet.

This was our first time here. I only wish there was a visitors center. We went all the way to South Paw Paw Gap trail. The path conditions are pretty wild: narrow, muddy, and rocky. We enjoyed it anyway. Beautiful view of the river.

Hidden gem. Moderately strenuous hike 30 minutes from the city. Cool ridge at the top of the hill.

A moderately strenuous hike along the base of Bender Mountain and up to it's ridge line. All forested with views of the Ohio River from the top. The loop trail includes three different trails of Bender Mountain Nature Preserve totaling 2.3 miles.
