The nice hike, but the rock bridge is underwhelming

Beautiful, towering sandstone cliffs, easy walking, interesting features, two waterfalls near the end.

This was a nice trail and I will definitely be back again if I have time.

The cemetery ridge / hemlock trail loop is stunning! It’s also a good challenge with its steep inclines.

Loved the waterfall at the end! absolutely beautiful

One of my favorite trails in the area. Definitely get there early. We had the hike mostly to ourselves in and out. We decided to do the rim trail and by the time we were done the place was packed.

Really easy trail with kids, the waterfall was a little disappointing but it was pretty. Kind of busy.

Easy with absolutely jaw dropping views from the bottom of the gorge

Awesome trail. Can’t wait to come back in the spring and do the upper rim!

Serene and beautiful!

I took the trailhead that is located on the Fern trial. Beautiful park. There was one hill that was a heart pounder. The key is not to stop on the hill and don’t stop once you get to the top. Just keep on truckin.

Rockbridge was a short run down trail but the Rock formation was beautiful. Not as big as those at Old Mans Cave. Trash near the River put a damper on the nature.

One of my favorite hikes so far!

Easy hike and pretty short out and back. Definitely a different feel from Old Man's Cave gorge. The gorge is narrower and greener in my opinion. Well worth the hike and the waterfall at the end is really nice.

It was a beautiful trail. Took our toddlers. Was easy enough for them and they really enjoyed the waterfall.

Great little hike

nice short easy trail that takes you into the woods, nice scenery and nature walk, paved

Great trail! Checked out the “rock shelter” and that was just OK. Nothing exciting along the “rock shelter loop”.. I wouldn’t hike that portion again. The rock bridge is really cool and I love that this trail was not very crowded.

beautiful w dramatic scenery

I enjoyed the trails. Very few fellow hikers. We saw 4 deer and plenty of squirrels. There are no facilities. However, Hocking Hills Winery is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. I thought the trails were solid 'moderate' so wear appropriate shoes and bring poles or walking sticks.

Most challenging hike in the central Ohio area for us so far. We started on the Cemetery Ridge trail, did most of the Fern Loop Trail until it got to the Hemlock trail head then we took the Hemlock Trail to the Creekside and back to the parking lot. Totaled about 8 miles. Cemetery Ridge is steep for the first .75 mile or so then is kind of boring as you are hiking on an access road. We loved the Fern and Hemlock trails. We didn’t see anyone on these trails. They are extremely rugged throughout and there are a number of spots where there is a drastic elevation change. But in spots, it felt like we could be on the west coast in the forest somewhere. Completely feel like you have been transported out of central OH. Highly recommend, just be prepared to do some steep uphill hiking.

Very pretty trail! After the pavement stops there is a waterfall worth going forward for.

Great trail. We followed Kelly’s advice. Spent a prolonged period of time by the water fall contemplating life. The trail was much more populated near the rock bridge. A great way to spend the morning. Side note, we are staying at Boulder’s edge cabins directly across from this trail and LOVE them.

Paved trail with lots of other trail head intersections. Great for kids in strollers.

Did the Hemlock Trail to the Fern Trail then back down the Hemlock Trail (about 4.5 miles). A great workout with great elevation gains, especially for the area. Will do again, but will add the Chestnut Trail out and back for a 8 mile, fairly hard hike.

Enjoyed the scenery, glad we took the trekking poles. Various terrain, worth the hike.

Simply gorgeous. Especially in the fall and winter.

This trail provides one of the best payoffs in the Hocking region. Rockbridge is fantastic and might be the most impressive geological feature in the area and it is well worth the hike.

Well, it started out nicely enough through a pretty forested area with quite a bit of elevation change to keep things interesting along the Hemlock Trail and Fern Trails. Once we hit the Cemetery Ridge Trail, things got less interesting, the trail became more like an access road, and it stayed that way until we began our descent back to the parking area. This would be a 3.5-4 Star hike if you removed that portion f the cemetery ridge trail.
