It was a beautiful trail. Took our toddlers. Was easy enough for them and they really enjoyed the waterfall.

Great little hike

Steps and steps and more steps! Loved it

on Rock House

pretty crowded, steep steps, requires some careful climbing, goes to inside of a cave formation with uneven ground. kids love it for exploring, feels like a short walk just a little challenging

nice short easy trail that takes you into the woods, nice scenery and nature walk, paved

Great trail! Checked out the “rock shelter” and that was just OK. Nothing exciting along the “rock shelter loop”.. I wouldn’t hike that portion again. The rock bridge is really cool and I love that this trail was not very crowded.

I enjoyed the trails. Very few fellow hikers. We saw 4 deer and plenty of squirrels.
There are no facilities. However, Hocking Hills Winery is just a hop, skip, and a jump away.
I thought the trails were solid 'moderate' so wear appropriate shoes and bring poles or walking sticks.

I would say this is a moderate trail. Many, many, steps! Not good for small children. Steep drop offs and you must come up and down the narrow steep steps. However fun for adults and older children who are active and can handle climbing back up to the top.

Very pretty trail! After the pavement stops there is a waterfall worth going forward for.

The description nails it, an older trail system, along with many old worn and narrow steps but well worth the trip for the semi adventurer. It’s farther out and the cliff faces offer many unique structures and picture moments.
Not to be compared to Old mans cave but a combination of Ash Cave and Rock House. It offers a “yellow loop trail” taking you out along the creek and heavily wooded.

The Old mans cave area trails are very beaten and over populated along with idiots climbing where they shouldn’t and trashing the place. If you can stray from holidays

Great trail. We followed Kelly’s advice. Spent a prolonged period of time by the water fall contemplating life. The trail was much more populated near the rock bridge. A great way to spend the morning. Side note, we are staying at Boulder’s edge cabins directly across from this trail and LOVE them.

One of my favorites in the Hocking Hills area!! Beautiful scenery, slightly challenging and fun. The Rock House cave is really cool. Loved this trail!

Loved hiking this trail!

Paved trail with lots of other trail head intersections. Great for kids in strollers.

A lot of stairs on this trail. Small dogs would have a hard time on this trail.

Thought this was the least impressive of all the Hocking Hills area trails. Initial rock structures were beautiful but after that it's just woods; I can see that anywhere in Ohio. If you're in the area; Ash Cave, Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, Rock House, and Conkle's Hollow were much more beautiful hikes.

Loved the rock cliffs and rock house.

We hiked this trail on our first trip to the Hocking Hills area. The steps down into the gorge were pretty cool although a little slick in a few places. Once you get to the bottom, you have a choice of two different trails. The red trail is a little more challenging with bigger climbs. We did part of that one then jumped over to the yellow trail which was quite a bit easier. The whole thing is marked as being exactly two miles, but the sections we did, according to my Garmin ended up being 2.3 miles and we left off a good portion of the red loop. We have a 10 year old and a couple of the spots can be a little concerning. Great little hike and I can't wait to go back to explore the rest of the HH trails!

Enjoyed the scenery, glad we took the trekking poles. Various terrain, worth the hike.

Simply gorgeous. Especially in the fall and winter.

This trail provides one of the best payoffs in the Hocking region. Rockbridge is fantastic and might be the impressive geological feature in the area and it is well worth the hike.

Beautiful scenery. A nice bit of elevation change here and there. I only wish it was a little longer. The trails were well blazed but clearly there’s been some tree damage in the area. A great little hike with plenty of eye candy.

Pretty crowded trail. Nice forest along the way, but the rock house itself wasn’t too impressive. Personally like the ash cave better.

Amazingly beautiful for an easy lovely hike. We almost skipped this one- don't, it was so beautiful especially on a 90+ day!

This was a great trail! Very peaceful and beautiful. Definitely continue on after the paved portion ends. My boys and I had the waterfall area at the end to ourselves for a while on a Sunday afternoon. We loved it! Look forward to a return trip!

This was a great hike on a Sunday evening. Not too crowded. Fun to explore. We came off the trail at a different point than where we started and had to walk along the road for a short distance- keep an eye on the waypoints on the map to avoid this. We didn't mind though. Nice trail!

Doing this trail after a light rain, watching the mist dance through the trees in the sunlight, is surely one of my favorite hiking moments to date.
