Moderate challenge on the west side of the river, falls are but a trickle if it has not rained lately. East side of river is flat and easy. Picturesque river views at certain points.

If you like walking in the woods, along a river, by a water fall, climbing a fire tower, looking over a gorge, being almost alone in nature, then this trail is for you! This is one of my favorite trails in Ohio. Starting at Pleasant Hill Dam and going to the Lyons Falls Trail, most of the up and down hill hiking will be on the first half of the 10 mile hike. After crossing the bridge where the cabins are and near the main campground, the path is a level hike along the Mohican River and through the woods. Wonderful sights and smells of nature!

Very enjoyable and easy to hike. It had a fair amount of traffic but was relaxing.

Big trees. Big river.

A part of the trail had recently been bulldozed which left a very muddy mess. What a hack job! I picked up lots of fishing line and trash along the river bank. Not my favorite trail.

The river was so pretty
Falls were somewhat underwhelming
The hike back was hard ! Good workout to climb up

Easy Sunday trip with the family

We went while it was snowing... so a handful of places were icy. It was beautiful, very quiet and a fun adventure to start our day! It was marked very well. I can only imagine how beautiful it is during the fall!! We only did the big/little Lyon Falls. Then back to the cover bridge and down to hog hollow! Can’t wait to come back.

Busy flat easy trail. The dam was nothing to look at ... lots of people fishing for carp along the river too.

Easy trail to the falls. Heavily used trail. Not sure I would call either one of the trails with the name sale of Falls ... a water fall. Barely a trickle at both.

A really great trail. Well kept, beautiful scenery. Will do again.

Nice trail. Fairly easy with a few hills

One of my favorite places to go and one of my favorite trails. I've gone so many times I know the trail very well. Added bonus it's only a 40 minute drive for me. Just a warning, there is no cell phone reception.

Beautiful hike, well maintained trail. We did the loop starting toward the falls around to Pleasant Dam and back to the covered bridge, close to 3 miles.

beautiful trail.

We love this trail. It's more challenging on one side where Lyon's Falls are, and we love the falls. We crossed the Covered Bridge and went back Pleasant Hill Trail because it is flat and easy after a long day of hiking Mohican. This time of year it is really muddy and slippery, but still very fun and beautiful.

I suggest staying at the Lodge one time when you come, but you're bound to stay a lot! After hiking we came back to the Lodge for a swim and sit in the sauna. Now it's time for dinner and drinks....perfect ending to a perfect day out here in Mohican.

Very good experience. Gorgeous waterfall and the trails are extremely well marked. Couple fun but tricky crossing of little water streams (traversing a fallen tree). Met a Ranger at the trail head and she was super nice and gave me a map and advice . Will definitely go back.

The trail is pretty easy for an average adult. Beautiful scenery but heavily trafficked all year round. Great place for families. The covered bridge is a great area for a picnic or to just relax.

Only reason it's not getting 5 stars is because of heavy traffic. Great trail, with a stream crossing if water is high. The bottom of Big Lyons falls was frozen but only about a foot, just wasn't cold enough.

Nice trail but very busy. Waterfall was a dribble at this time of year. Leaves were fantastic.

really busy

Great trail we opted to take the long route to big Lyons falls. The stairs kicked our butt and the long climb up did as well. Great terrain though gives you rocks roots and flat ground. Beautiful scenery even for being super busy due to Labor Day weekend.

We had a good time on this trail. We started at Lyons Falls. It was fun to climb down the rocks a bit by the cave. This site stated it was 6.3 mile loop and it's point-to-point, so unfortunately we didn't really have enough time to to Hemlock Gorge. We decided to turn around at covered bridge and go to Hog's Hallow Trail. That was awesome as well.

Clean, short, busy.

Amazing, some parts a little difficult to get to if you have a dog, but I can say my dog and I made it up a steep hill that you had to use hands and feet to climb but it was worth it at the top.
