great trail! have the map up when walking to make sure you don’t accidentally go onto to the other shorter path. Different scenery along the way. Mildly muddy due to the rain the day before but was a lot better than i thought it would be! didn’t see too many people Saturday mid day. overall would recommend for beginners to moderate hikers. Also, took my dog and he enjoyed it!

Clearly defined trail through the deep woods. Great on a hot day because you are shielded from direct sunlight.

This was a great trail. Only has one to two spots of high elevation so I didn’t think it was too difficult. It offers a lot of different scenery (wooded, greenery, open field, small pond, etc). It has a few different paths and trails you can venture off on. Make sure you follow the signs carefully if you want to stay just in the Plateau Trail.

Plateau Trail is a really nice path, but didn’t see a waterfall.

Don't try this trail unless you have sturdy waterproof footwear and a sturdy walking stick. Ankle high mud in many sections. Otherwise a nice trail that I will revisit in the dry season.

If you take the off the grid trail, you will enjoy several creaks and elevation contours that are not available on the mark trail. Follow my map to finish the unofficial loop and reunite with the regular trail. Enjoy Amigos!

Very nice moderate hike. Lots of people at 7am. Be extra careful after the rAiny day.

This trail was very muddy pretty much al the loop due to a recent rain. I will have to try it again in better conditions. The path is well maintain and good one for joggers when is dried. The scenery is very pretty. Enjoy Amigos!

short little trail but pretty still, no ledges on it but a small ravine on one side

It was a nice trail overall, but make sure you follow the signs. I made a wrong turn and ended up doing a small loop on Oak Hill trail back to where I was and I was a bit disoriented by it.

Nice trail, but I prefer single track dirt. Wide, compressed dirt/gravel trail. Some decent elevation gains but pretty moderate for experienced hikers/runners. Not a lot of people on my Wednesday afternoon run during Covid. Recommended, but make sure to follow the Platue signs

This trail is a hot mess in the Spring. Trail features extreme mud mixed with horse pies. Trail has some good elevation for a CVNP Trail. Just the trail condition is really bad.

90% of the trail is extremely muddy and wet, I don’t foresee it drying out anytime soon. It was very difficult to hike in hiking boots, very slippery. Expect to be covered in mud! Even though the trail was terrible the view of horseshoe pond is very nice and it was cool seeing the tree farm, but definitely will not be doing it again.

Not too muddy tonight – but I can see where this can be a mess. Awesome view of the tree farm and pine forest!

Wow. Lange’s Run Trail with Wetmore...awesome! It’s dry with patchy wet mud spots. More horseback traffic currently but getting more populated as day goes on.

From octagon parking lot walk towards bottom of lot (direction of the octagon shelter) and you will find an initial trailhead sign by the small path before entering the field area. Continue straight back to come to the next trailhead. Now you will hike through the woods. When you come to where the loop begins start clockwise then you will end back up at the start of the loop to exit out of the woods. Very flat and easy short trail, good for all ages and skills! Can easily be done along with the ledges or pine grove trail to add in some mileage! Very dry and few people on it.

Started in the octagon parking lot top right hand corner where trailhead is located then hiked along the “connector trail” crossed the street and started the pine grove trail clockwise. We decided to connect to the Kendall lake trail loop so we took the next connector trail off of the pine grove trail soon after the trail begins. The connector trail consisted of some steps and then mostly downhill to the lake. After you cross the road take a left to begin the lake trail loop. Be sure to stay on the lake trail as there are other intersecting trails in the Kendall lake area. The lake trail was nice and added on another mile. The connector part is by far the hardest part when returning to the pine grove trail since it is mostly uphill with some steep sections. When back to the pine grove trail turn left to continue clockwise. It is mostly flat and winding through the trees. Keep your eyes open to return to the octagon parking lot via the first connector trail at the end of the pine grove loop. Total distance ended up being approx 4.25 miles, overall very nice hike!
