Great trail in a small nook in Chillicothe!

The river was so pretty
Falls were somewhat underwhelming
The hike back was hard ! Good workout to climb up

a little confusion with signage. we took "short loop" instead of "Boston trail". trail l is named "Boston run trail". this caused a double back and we didn't complete the "Boston run trail" for this reason.

Took our grandson who is 22 months old today. We had a blast. would recommend this trail.

It’s nice, lots of wildlife, would recommend

A great hike that has some hills but beautiful scenery and views too!

Make sure you go past the "End of Blue Hen Trail" and out another mile to the even better falls. Even today with all of the rain and snow lately the path was fine, but the water level was a bit higher than normal so we had to find alternate path.

A bit difficult (in comparison to other paths around) and muddy but an awesome trail!

Solid trails with great scenery. Minimal wildlife but good otherwise.

Awesome hike! FYI - A potion of the trail takes you behind the ski resort.

great for a run, boring for scenery.

Great hike with our 6 year olds. Good variety of trail surfaces. But what are those brick structures in the second loop? Trying to find the answer online.

Some elevation change and nice views.

Great trail

Beautiful hike, but some parts smell of the sewer and be prepared to encounter a lot of people, sometimes smoking along the way.

on Dogwood Trail

Awesome views, but a bit more involved than just a simple trek. A variety of trail settings (beach by the lake, uphill, trail through dogwood trees, next to the river, rocks, streams), and a great workout!

I hiked the 15 mile loop yesterday for the first time. Easy to follow the white blazes, except once around the oil wells it got a little confusing but easy to backtrack. It's muddy right now so definitely wouldn't recommend just gym/running shoes.
Overall a great trail and good hike. Finished in about 6 hours with some breaks for lunch/water. Saw deer, hawks, and wild turkeys. The camping spots look great and next time I'll be spending the night.
Make sure you have a car that can handle the gravel road in/out, nothing bad but worth noting.
Also there was "water cache" leftover from trail angels but don't count on water resources on the 15 mile loop.

We visit this park on a regular basis as this is the best part in the area. There is a decent amount of elevation change with wooded areas and fields that grow wild flowers in the summer. From the parking lot by Abbott's bridge around the orange trail you can get 3.1 miles. Our dogs love going as they like to sniff for the groundhogs.

Nice hike.

Quiet.

Super muddy, which is to be expected in Spring. Much of the trail is a mowed path with overgrowth beside it. Only small parts are actual wooded hiking trails.

I hiked the Lakeview Trail all the way around the lake today. I would say 50% was easy, 25% moderate, and 25% hard. There was a lot of damp spots, some so wet you could not pass and had to climb up rough terrain to make your own path to get around. Only experienced and agile hikers should attempt this feat. It was 8.05 miles long in my Samsung Hiking app, and 7.6 miles on the Alltrails app.

I love this trail one of my favorites

I would've given a better rating if more than half the trail wasn't along a busy road. The last part of the trail was more peaceful. Relatively flat except for a downhill at the beginning and a nice short climb at the end.

Very poorly marked trail. we followed the green stripes designating the trail as detailed on the map at Southwest Hospital and ended up at Bagley and Big creek Blvd, two miles east of our starting point. making our "short" 1.5 mile walk with our two year old grandson a grueling trek for all of us. We never saw the lake, which was our whole reason for going. Someone needs to put some signs up and create a map that makes sense. Very poorly thought out. We are veteran hikers with over 50 years experience on trails all over the country and have never had problems like this before.

Great hike! The falls were amazing and really enjoyed that it was a loop. Definitely start at Stanford house and go all the way to the falls!

has an awesome bridge and overlook. easy access to the river.

Not such a clean or safe park anymore.

Beautiful area that you wouldn't expect to have near downtown Akron. The trail is always busy but is mostly flat with the exception of some stairs you can choose to walk or bypass. I would rate it easy but worth the trip. There are lots of other trails in the same area so it's good for distance.

We've done the north loop, it was beautiful but pretty tough. Heavy rain can make the creek a little scary, but it's largely avoidable. the campgrounds are nice, especially having the access to water. Go early on weekends, the parking lot seems to fill up quickly.

Great trail to spend your day on. I most enjoy getting away from the crowds a few miles in and looking for plants and birds. the lake is fantastic at the far end, and there are lots of wonderful things to see along the way. It can be muddy in spots and sometimes the trail is nearly in the lake, but nothing too bad.
