Unique and a perfect afternoon hike.

Steps. And beautiful views of the river.

Nice cardio if you're just getting back into it with some stunning sights. switchback paths available if you get tired partway.

This is one of my favorite hikes near Cleveland. The only issue is that it’s very hard to stay on this particular trail. I got turned around 9-10 times even when following the AllTrails GPS map. This exact route is very disjointed at times as well.

All-in-all, that’s the beauty of it though as the trail takes you through plenty of different terrains and paths. It’s really a beautiful park.

Easy ride. We went on a chilly October day. It wasn’t crowded. Saw 7 deer. Not much noise to speak of. Mostly riding in wooded area.

Nice day hike with views

nice short easy trail that takes you into the woods, nice scenery and nature walk, paved

nice trails. felt safe. ok marked.. but I'm directionally challenged.

Absolutely perfect, especially with the leaves changing. A top notch easy hike!

A beautiful trail especially in autumn as the leaves are changing.

This was our first hike; my wife and I did it with our daughter and daughter in law, and our little boy. We’re barely in bed for the night and are planning our NEXT visit! The scenery is sweet; it’s not even “fall leaves” season. I can’t even imagine the colors and the views when that happens. The only downside? Maybe a couple more benches/rest areas.

The trail can get confusing at some parts.

Great hiking experience. A few muddy/slick spots after a rain overnight. Nice moderate rated trail. Recommend hiking the loop counterclockwise as reviewed in other posts.

Awesome trail

Great path and sometimes strenuous hills.
Difficult to find starting point but this app made it possible. Could also catch it by parking lots n lot on Sand Run Parkway by Shadowfield sign.

nice park. beautiful overlook.

This trail is a lot of fun. My kids were able to do this trail easily, but it was enough to burn off all their energy. The park is clean and very well maintained. I also like that you can combine different parts of the various trails to customize your hiking experience. My family loves hiking here and we will continue to do so, hopefully, for a long time.

Very poorly marked! I will probably never walk here again. My friend, daughter, and I actually had to be "rescued" because we couldn't navigate ourselves back to the start and we only had about 20 minutes before dark. It was very soggy and muddy, the grass was way too high, and the mosquitos were really bad.

Absolutely loved this park! The waterfall was gorgeous

Beautiful park, walked the overlook trail with it to make 2 miles. The overlook is definitely a must see. Tree fell down on the oxbow trail so be careful.

beautiful views and good workout

so, spider webs... i feel like its something worth noting because yes you are out in the woods so obviously you should expect spider webs. but its true there are a lot, at face level, and the webs are thick so you will notice each one. waving a long stick out in front of you helps, but if you dont want to march through the forrest looking like an outdoorsy wizard casting shitty spells with the worlds biggest wand, wear a mosquito mask and long sleeves.
also DONT DRINK THE WATER. even with a filter. due to the mining that went on in the area even a filter cant for sure get all the heavy metals out of the water. we did a water drop at the horse camp which is 11 miles into the hike and a decent place to stop and camp if you would prefer access to a toilet.
the hike is not for beginners. its long and hard and its easy to get turned around and end up on a horse trail if you arent paying attention to the trail markers.
outside of that if you are looking for a challenge to get you ready for something like the AT its got a good mix of terrains, altitudes, grades, and "you're on your own, so figure it out" frustrations to get your body and mind right. - John & Melissa

Beautiful park, fun hike. Was muddy today so be careful.

Very beautiful trails with fall lookouts
Parking $5 if you park at Corry street and absolutely no trail markers
Will be lost if trying to be Adventurous
AllTrails should help to stay on trail

Beautiful and the cemetery in the middle is awesome, but the bugs are rough. For real, don’t forget your bug spray.

Fantastic all the way around. They recently re-routed a section of the Far Ridge Trail, but it is only a slight deviation from the standard route and clearly marked. Plenty of squirrels and chipmunks along the path to keep you company, and lots of visibility making it easy to admire the contour of the land. This is probably the nicest hiking trail in the Cincinnati area. The Rim Trail at Caesar Creek comes close, but probably only because of the views of the lake.

beautiful w dramatic scenery
