Note: This is a "trail" that is actually a water route for kayakers, canoeists, and river tubers. This is not a hiking trail. This route begins by dropping in the Cuyahoga River at Fred Fuller Park in Kent, and then paddling or floating downstream until Waterworks Park in Cuyahoga Falls. If you wish to take a shorter trip down the river, you can also take out or put in at the canoe launch at Brust Park in Munroe Falls.Show more

When it comes to shorter community nature trails, the one at the Forest Lake Wildlife Preserve in Kent is just about as good as it gets. This wildlife preserve is surprisingly enough accessible through a housing development. The trail goes past a pond where local residents fish sometimes, but the majority of the trail is in the woods. It's so wooded and quiet that you forget that there are houses less than a mile away. The wildflowers are great too. The path doesn't appear to get much use, but it is still well maintained.Show more

This small local nature preserve has a great, but shorter walking trail. It takes you through a pretty woods with a wonderful, but small wetland near the end.Show more
