My favorite trail in this area! Love the multiple stream crossings!

Not bad considering all the weather recently, but we did see a small herd of deer. The trail is nicely maintained.

bit muddy, but not bad, just make sure to prepare for it. probably the most technical trail I've hiked in the greater Dayton area. really enjoy this trail for both hiking and trail running (trail running only on good weather days, the mud could be treacherous to runners)

today it was muddy but easy to follow signs

Great eastern woodlands trail with beautiful views of the river. One of the best true hiking trails around the Dayton area.

Perfect place to get 5 miles in to start the day or after work. I see deer almost every time I go in the winter months to this park. Beautiful and well maintained.

This trail is beautiful, but very hard to follow. There aren’t very many trail markers and there are many break off points. Thankfully this app gives you a guide or I may have been stuck in the cold longer than anticipated

Has a really nice creek that runs through the park, not a very big park. But you can take your dog's as well.

Best hiking trail you can get without leaving town.

Very peaceful and open!

Great technical (for the area) trails for running. Dogs are allowed on a 6’ leash or less. No mountain biking on the hiking trails.

Love this trail! Great mix of hills and flat ground.

It's a nice exercise trail, not much to see other than the backs of houses. In the late fall you will see tons of squirrels getting ready for winter.

One of the best Dayton MetroPark Trails.

nice trail. my dog loved our little hike.

Easy Hike, the trails are well kept too.

Nice trail. Small obstacles around the creek but nothing major. I took my dog and had no problems. Quite a few people which is nice when hiking solo.

Nice combination of hills and level ground, meadows and forests.

Nice trail with lots of moderate elevation changes.

A nice 3+ mile loop, almost entirely shaded. A nice field in the middle, with a small pond. Lightly trafficked which is fantastic imo. Stay quiet, enjoy the sounds of nature...I walked right up next to a frog, saw a white tail deer just feet from me, and a cotton tail rabbit. This trail is now on my favorites list.

My favorite hiking spot!

Nice trail with lots of shade. Trail follows river for a bit and has some good hills. Nice outing.

Great little trail, nice views of the river and wildflowers!

great little trail with nice river views and elevation changes.

Park at the bend of Runnymede Rd off of thornhill Dr and take the trail head for Houck Stream Trail. Forest type meandering trails. Great hike

Lots of curves and up and downs. Some steep climbs. Beautiful.
