Great paved trail!

The trail system consists of a central shared use paved loop with several gravel trails branching off, each a little under a mile in length. The trails are well maintained gravel and have varying elevation. It is pretty heavily trafficked and does not have a remote feel. It wouldn't be the best for a scenic hike, but is great for an easy to reach walk in the woods. I use the loop as a trail running route and it is perfect for a run through the woods without worrying about breaking your ankle on a tree root. The side trails or the main loop can be repeated to selectively add distance.

Super easy. Great for all ages and you can’t beat the views. Right alongside the river. People with stroller, runners and bikers all share the extra wide and winding concrete path.

great for a run, boring for scenery.

Easy stroll even if not prepared to hike. Great for families and beginning hikers.

Lots of things to see, makes for a fun run

beautiful to walk or run

I've never heard this called the Ohio river trail before. Friendship park is a favorite of mine. Interesting park/path design that keeps your interest. Would be fun with small children... with a bike, or bring crayons/paper to do rubbings on lots of interesting things. Smale is new and impressive. Lots to keep kids busy - giant chimes, a flying pig to ride in, family size swings, water fountains to run through. Dress small kids for water, b/c they will want to get in! It's downtown, so you have to deal with traffic, events, parking. That's what keeps us from visiting more often.

This is a great link of several different urban riverfront parks. You can watch the history of Cincinnati park design as you walk along the river. Smale Park is the newest, with lots of young plants, activities for kids and even a row of porch swings for enjoying the view of the river. Sawyer Point is a fairly old park with mature trees and well loved green spaces. The Theodore Berry International Friendship Park has a diverse selection of plants and structures and is interesting to walk through.

Enjoyed a good walk through the park today! At times it is wooded and hiking other parts of the loop are paved and more open air. My dog and I really enjoyed it! There is a charge of $3 or $5 depending on if you live in Hamilton County or not. I didn't know and was lucky enough to have some cash.

A descent trail if you are looking for a quick hike. I don't care much that it's gravel.

Woodland Mound is a nice park. It features many of the same amenities as other parks in Hamilton County, OH. I differ with the "out and back" description given on AllTrails. There is a continuous paved trail that spans about 1.3 miles. From the paved loop are several gravel out and back trails that are .6 to .9 miles in length. I did two of the side trails and completed the paved circuit three times to meet my workout needs.

This is a nice trail system with a central, paved, bike/hike loop of 3.5 miles. You can extend this by a couple miles by veering off on a few "there and back" side trails that follow very well marked and maintained dirt trails.

This is not really a trail but rather a route along city streets to the Little Miami bike trail and up to the Bass Island trail head. The actual Bass Island trail head is just a parking lot along the bike trail.
