My dog and I hiked this for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. I recorded 2.5 miles though, per Map My Walk app. I’d definitely say this is an easy trail and a great for a beginning hiker. Very little elevation changes. It’s a perfect trail for a hot summer day because it’s all in the shade, unless you complete the loop that goes through the meadow, then you’ll be in the full sun. Trails are gravel and a very nice width.

First time I went. Loved it. Went on a beautiful day and I didn’t come across anyone else. Some parts are confusing, like the open field area. But this app really helped stay on course.

Great paved trail!

Great urban trail, feels larger than it is. Trails can be very confusing but makes for a nice adventure.

I didn’t see anyone once I got into the woods. I wore my regular running shoes and I think it would be better to wear hiking boots. I stumbled in some mole holes when I was looking for the trail head. I liked all the hills and the shade, once I was in the woods. I had trouble walking down some of the hills because I’m turning into a granny and didn’t wear the right shoes. I could hear a lot of road traffic and for a while I could see the road, so it wasn’t such a peaceful walk. I’ll definitely go here again because it’s so close to my home, but I don’t love it. I might love it in another season. Summer is my least favorite time to hike.

I’m new-ish to this side of town and just went here for the first time a few months ago. I like to bring my dog right after work for a good run through the woods. The trail is mostly shady and easy to walk. I skip the prairie loop when it’s too hot. I mainly go for exercise, but there are a lot of birds, flowers, foxes, snakes, and turtles. It’s a nice place.

Nice, quiet trail. Wide and well maintained, mulched or gravel in some areas. Not too much elevation change and an okay river view. Makes for a nice shady trail run without seeing many other people. Bonus: repeat the meadow loop a couple times to increase the distance, otherwise it is very short.

The trail system consists of a central shared use paved loop with several gravel trails branching off, each a little under a mile in length. The trails are well maintained gravel and have varying elevation. It is pretty heavily trafficked and does not have a remote feel. It wouldn't be the best for a scenic hike, but is great for an easy to reach walk in the woods. I use the loop as a trail running route and it is perfect for a run through the woods without worrying about breaking your ankle on a tree root. The side trails or the main loop can be repeated to selectively add distance.

Super easy. Great for all ages and you can’t beat the views. Right alongside the river. People with stroller, runners and bikers all share the extra wide and winding concrete path.

Trails need cutting back. Quick walk up and back down.

Nice view of Cincinnati and an informational plaque. The loop trail is concrete around a lawn area. Never left sight of my car. Saw 2 other people on it though.

Duck pond was partially filled, one of the buildings was dilapidated and graffiti-covered. Not really an inspiring walk in the park, but a walk in the park deserves 3 starts in and of itself.

Great trails for trail running. Hardly anyone here, peaceful and a refreshing run. Ran on the red blaze, yellow blaze and blue blaze trails. Will be back often!

great for a run, boring for scenery.

Enjoyed this rustic, charming hike. Good hills and much to see. Good for kids and pets.

Beautiful park
Lots of Old trees
Nice well marked trails

Great trail to run. Very difficult to run, lots of rocks and roots. Got lost a few times. This app was very useful to fin my way. Watch out for the stone steps.

I loved this little hike, I did a few loops around and made it into about 6.5 miles in all. Definitely some steep parts, but overall very easy. I agree that you can still hear the sounds of the road and trains, but that didn’t really bother me. I thought the paths were very well marked, and my dogs loved it!

A good bit of the trail was cut off due to hunting, but the trail portion I was allowed to hike was beautiful if not a little muddy from recent rains.

This park rocks. Usually there aren’t many people here. New parking lot is nice.

Lots of trails closed for restoration

more on easy side than moderate, nice trail, nice ohio river overlook

I managed to hike about 3 miles there today. A lot of the trails were closed due to hunting today. I’ll definitely visit again.

A few trails need to be updated but overall a great park!

Saw my first rufous sided towhee on the Open field part of the hike. There was a group of them hanging out in a vine covered tree. They weren't shy, but finally got fed up with my watching them. Great day for seeing pollinators of all kinds gather the last remains of nectar.
