Very diverse terrain which makes for an enjoyable, rough hike

Always like it!

Good 4 mile trail. Some hills, 1 or 2 river crossings

Great hills to climb for a nice workout for a beginner.

great vertical and trail is in good shape thanks to the kind people that run the BT50K.

Nice section of the buckeye trail. We started out later in the day around 5pm, took about 2hrs 15 min. Since it was later when we finished at Brecksville Station, we decided to catch the Towpath trail back to our start...which was about 3 miles back instead of the 7 miles if we took the Buckeye trail back.

This was an awesome hike. Very hilly terrain. Great scenery and good trail. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there were a few moments where the trail markers were unclear. Also, you do have to cross a few streets, but it is mostly deep woods.

The whole trail is almost 5 miles, lots of hills! Great workout, and once you get past the nature center and construction it becomes peaceful and not too many people. You cross a few roads on the trail and walk along the path nearing the road for a few minutes, but mostly hiking in the woods. Lots of markers to keep you on track, and not end up lost or onto another path, like I do sometimes, lol. Some steep cliffs so be careful. Oh and I saw a coyote!

What a great trail to get a workout on. I went South to North and then back on the towpath. There were a lot of up and downs, water crossings, and wild life. It was absolutely beautiful, very few people too. It was quite muddy and I didn't like going through the Brecksville part of it but still a great trail.

Very muddy and narrow at points, but there were some very nice views from the My Mountain Overlook. Not too challenging, but some nice hills throughout the trail.

Really enjoyed this trail. Creek crossings, cave, waterfalls, lots of wildlife...what more could you ask for?!?

A good workout.

only hiked about first half mile or so. a lot of the trail very muddy with some parts leaving trail to walk around standing water. we left because we going late but also because it was so muddy from run off. spring beauties, Colt's foot, and trout lilies are out. beautiful spring day.

Muddy, obstacles, and awesome!

Unbelievably muddy hike in early spring. This trail runs through an study area in which trees were cut in 1996 to promote growth of oaks and wildflowers. Kind of a sad site in the winter. Decent elevation gain with access to Buckeye Trail and My Mountain overlook.

I live close to this trail. It is closed due to a renovation project that is underway now. There are three bridges that have been close for many years and deemed unsafe. These bridges will be removed and one new bridge built. They are removing trees now and re-routing the hiking route. You can still access the connector trail from the bike and hike to the tow path however.

Nice trail, not always marked well, but the path is well worn. Very muddy right now, “cave” is a lot smaller than I thought but still nice. Decent elevation, especially for Ohio.

little bit muddy!

First time at this trail and was happily surprised by how nice it was. Ended up being around 4 miles with nice elevation changes. Took our 9 month old border collie with us and she had no troubles. We went counter clockwise and enjoyed the small waterfall at the end of the hike - for where we parked at. Really enjoyed this hike & I’m looking forward to going back in the summer!

Trees down everywhere blocking many parts of the trail. Some apparently for months. Truly sad that park maintenance staff haven’t done their jobs. I probably could be a nice trail but not in its current state of disrepair.

Was a nice walk. Pretty wet this time of year which makes it super muddy! A little bummed that there are houses so close to parts of the trail. Will hike again during a drier season.

Nice peaceful walk only saw a few other people. Wildlife is plentiful but I prefer a bit more seclusion. Several spots along the upper portion of the trail you pass very close to housing.

The trailhead near Snowville Rd was fairly swampy today - but that's to be expected with recent weather (snow meltage). I really enjoyed this trail. The hills make it fun with great views. Parts of the trail are narrow with lots of tree roots. We only had time to do half of the trail out and back. I'm looking forward to coming back and completing the whole trail.

I really enjoyed this hike. Lots of gentle hills and valleys, and enjoyed the rocks and “cave”. Really looking forward to returning in the spring when everything is green.

I got a little lost by the water crossing after coming down the dense pine area. it looked like the trail kept going along the side. other than that, it was wonderfully muddy, icy, steep, quiet, and fun for me and my dog who had to drag me up one of the hills. lol :) if you are with your dog I reccomend an extension leash as it will be easier on you and your dog.

Beautiful trail with a lot of hills!

I have done this trail once before and would like to go back! Can anyone confirm that this is the trail with the "overlook" with a couple benches up top?

Parking is limited but the trail is really pretty

Followed the red trail to the green trail. Red trail wasn't marked that well and at times we had to guess that we were going the right way. Red trail shares time with the horse trail so that meant most of the walk was covered in horse poop, so that was annoying trying to go up the hills and around the poop all the time. We went backward on the green trail and went up the hills. The green trail seemed more populated with dog walkers everywhere. It was a beautiful day and the trails were pretty. I didn't see trash and the water was clear. Stopped at the Nature Center and it was a cute little stop.
