I hiked the Upland Trail in this recording, it was a mostly flat easy 1.34 mile hike. The path across the parking lot is a little confusing , you cross the parking lot and the Main Street to continue the trail.

Love it!

Awesome for trail running. Lots of great hills, streams, stairs etc. Well shaded. Have to pay $9/ person to park at the nature center. The trail head is at the nature center which also has bathrooms.

This was an excellent hike. We did about 7.5 miles and ran the first 2. There are a lot of hills and creeks that you cross. This is a great hike!!!!!

A great trail for being the middle of the city. Lots of wildlife like birds, deer and squirrels. A peaceful, short hike.

Excellent trail conditions. Took the stairs up to Fox which were a little slick but nothing terrible or unexpected.

Intended to hike the entire perimeter CW, but my newish boots were causing problems, so we heads back after the Far Ridge trail. All the trails were in great shape, and even the Redwing Trail wasn't very muddy.

Part of the trail is closed for maintenance. All trails map and the actual trail itself aren’t in sync at various parts of the trail which makes it hard to follow. Trail itself is marked well. Not much to really see. Great if you just want to walk through woods with views of average fauna and bugs. Not so great if you want to actually see anything “camera worthy.” Great place for kids (main purpose anyways) or a quick hike but not good if you’re looking to spend time out and away.

Just an ok trail. Muddy in some parts and one of the bridges was out. Not much to see either. Probably won’t be back to this one.

mark well but somewhat confusing.

nice short walk for the kids!!! beautiful views of the meadow and awesome ponds!!

Good hike for anyone.

Not an easy trail. Rowe Woods lists it as difficult. Have to decend 150 feet to the creek to get to the trail, acend 200 feet to the ridge, follow the ridge and then back down to the creek and back up to the parking lot. I would not say easy. Nice trails, saw some deer and squirrels. Took the Harmony Hill spur to the hammock stations. Nice half way break.

Great well kept trails!

excellent mix of gentle wandering trails, rolling sections and short heartbeating "climbs". definitely on my list of top Cincinnati trails!!

I enjoyed multiple trails today. Slightly muddy on the Fernwood trail and the Far Ridge trail was totally worth it.

All trails didn't warn me it was a horse trail. It said hikers, trail runners, etc. As a horse trail, you can expect it was muddy, and the 1st mile or 2 in was a nearly straight, flat, and paved. Not exactly what I was looking for, but I got some exercise at least. Did see a doe, fox, and a couple box turtles.

I love hiking at the CNC and the redwing trail has always been my favorite. They rate it as difficult, but I would say moderate. It crosses the creek a couple of times and has both uphill and downhill slopes. However, through the years, it has gotten more and more muddy, year around. It used to be muddy just in the spring, but now that spring season has extended to winter and summer. The center has not tried to fix it by adding rocks or timber, as they have done on other trails (such as fern trail). Consequently, I hike at the CNC a bit less and go on the fern trail whenever it has rained within the last couple of weeks; which now, is pretty much always. It's disappointing.

Trail wasn’t bad, but it was extremely muddy. We had to turn back. Will definitely try again during the dryer season.

Changes weekly just a gift

This is an exceptionally beautiful variant of the perimeter trail that bypasses the muddy Red Wing Trail. The trail is easy to moderate difficulty and includes some of the best scenery in the area.

a lot of mud. especially on the Redwing trail

As others said, horses really add to the bad conditions of the trails once off the asphalt/gravel section of trail. Parts impassable due to water and mud. Had to trek around. nice stopping point with picnic tables, vista lake view half way. some pretty steep incline/declines, I'd rate moderate, not easy trail.

Hiked this as part of the Perimeter Loop Trail today. Please note that the Far Ridge Trail is CLOSED just a few hundred feet from the end of the loop. So the choice is either backtrack and add a mile or go around the closure. I went through, but it is tough in a couple spots because they have taken out stairs that used to be there. Doable, but a couple of tricky spots. Otherwise I’d give this trail a 5 star rating. Very nice!
