The route follows an all dirt trail. It gets very muddy in sections after a day of rain. There are two water crossings, but they are usually manageable even after rain. There is a long section of stairs at the beginning if hiking counter-clockwise. If hiking clockwise, you'll cross the Everett Covered Bridge at the start.
