Overall it is a very average trail. Takes less than an hour to complete the whole thing and the scenery is pretty subpar. It has a decent pond that has ducks to look at if you’re into animal watching. The best part of it is the Maumee river. Walking next to that and being able to check that out is the one major positive of this place, other than that it is basically a nice trail to check out if you’re looking to get out of the house and get a little bit of exercise

Hidden gem for workouts. Very hilly. Workout stations. One decent view of the river.

A good metropark for in the city. Cool bridge, paved, and dirt trails options.

But you are in the city and there been crime here also, even somebody stabbed. I tell my wife and mom only to go here mid day.

Local here...it's a paved path. This is a hiking website right? Why such the high ranking? No good views, have to cross roads all the time, again it's paved, and if it's windy it not a good option. I don't even know of local runner who use the path. I guess a good option for biking but also dangerous if all the road crossings.

Here my problem, it's a Toledo area 5 star but compared to other places it's just ok.

I run here all the time as I live close. Great views of the maumee river as you run along the river. Also a nice little pond. Across the river you can see fort meigs.

Deer everywhere and they don't have fear of people. I have also seen wild turkeys here also but not normal.

I wouldn't call this hiking trail as local runners do workouts (intervals) on the trail.

Other side of the park has interesting canals and red trail is also good option for running.

Absolutely amazing trail system if you run just this trail or connecting trail at airport.

Great trail! Love to do tempo runs on it when I'm in town.

All purpose trail through meadow area, no bikes permitted. Nice views from the nature center area, especially at sunrise and sunset. I've seen deer, rabbits, and many birds. One side of the trail is next to a new development. The trail connects to Liberty Rd and is accessible from surrounding neighborhoods.

i just moved by the trail and have frequented it as a Jogger, a bicyclist, and just walking. it is decent asphalt. not crowded, ohio swampy scenary and with the amish using it horse manure quite frequent.

Ride my bike here all the time. It has a bit of a problem with tree roots creating speed bumps but is very beautiful and fun over all.

Super easy, peaceful, and kind people everywhere. Can get very busy on nice days.

This was a very well maintained and easy hike. Many boardwalks and spectacular viewing areas. My only complaint is one part where you walk along the main road. I like walks/hikes in the park to be more secluded. Overall a beautiful trail.

I love this trail and use it frequently. different routes let you get shade in the summer or be out in the sun more. there was a nest of eagles in the Spring of 2018. lots of people use this trail, but it isn't overcrowded. frisbee golf course, playgrounds, lots of places to stop and rest, go to the bathroom and get water. parts of the trail flood after heavy rains, but pieces of the trail (especially around the high school) are usually safe from flooding. a little elevation change in parts of the trail, but nothing too tough! mostly paved with some non-paved parts to explore if you wish.

Great loop by the river. Nicely maintained.

Super cool place to hike. The creek is really nice to check out, especially if you’re into photography. It has nice side trails you can walk and has a lot of ground to cover. The scenery here is also really amazing.

More than likely won't see a sole on it and is a very relaxing walk.

Wide, flat rural trail great for running.

GREAT trail , mostly flat, lots of benches to take a brake,
I take plenty of water. wish there where water stations like black lick metro park has.
I see many many people walking, jogging, biking, and
seniors, on this trail. and nobody thinks about there body. water is a must when there active.

This trail is exactly as described. However we enjoyed the paved pathway and seeing the old bridge at the end.

Nice flat trail - would be great for a 20 mile bike ride with a stop for lunch in the middle. The small detour for the Coke Ovens in Leetonia is definitely worth it.

Great hiking and horseback trails and good lake for kayaking. There’s lots of birds for birdwatching too!

A nice easy paved trail, but it can be very heavily trafficked at times with lots of people to avoid if you’re running. It’s open to bikes as well, though I rarely see them.

Good trail. We bikes it. Nice just getting out if you want an easy ride. One very steep hill that you will need to walk your bike up the hill.

Very nice little hike on a day trip to Yellow Springs. The gentleman at the entrance was very friendly and gave us a map and showed us where to go. You can make it a quick one or take your time....there's plenty to see. The map definitely came in handy as the splinter trails make it a bit confusing to follow.

Great trail. I was here this past Friday. Got past the golf course up the hill and wound up near the new soccer field on Wooster Pike. The trail needs better markers.

Lost the trail after Kellogg & along the river. Can someone guide me & tell me if it is paved? Thank you.

This trail is great for a quick weeknight hike after work. Scenery is great with the river and all. The Cuyahoga.
