Short cut beach trail. About as fast as you can get it done.

Beautiful winter hike through the snow around the park. Not busy on weekdays.

Beautiful trail with gorgeous views of the lake, big trees, and winding creek. The ground was frozen so no mud today but I could see it being somewhat muddy in spots during warmer weather. It made a very nice winter hike though! I will definitely be going back.

Today’s truck through the nature realm and sand run was extraordinarily invigorating! My friend and I traversed snowy icy conditions semi hard packed but in principle with a strong step. We saw many types of birds in fact a falcon and an owl at the observation deck at the nature around which was a nice surprise. All in all the cold was a welcome addition to the morning! Thank you! Went in the winter, it was interesting.

If you’re into birds, there’s hardly a better place in the greater Cincinnati area to see things you won’t find in your backyard. The ponds are great for waterfowl, and you may see a northern harrier in the fields or a red-headed woodpecker among the trees. The trail is nearly flat, so not a workout, but the peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings are very pleasant. I am looking forward to visiting through the seasons to see what dragonflies and butterflies visit, and maybe catch a glimpse of the beavers at work.

Kinda icy. Once you got to the top of the cave the trail was roped off so I’m not sure if it was closed. Back tracked down . Still a nice trail close to home

Today was my first trip to Towner‘s Woods, and it was awesome! Though the trails are pretty icy right now, the hillsides and lakes with the snow on them are absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to explore this place more once the weather warms up a little bit.

This was a fun trail. There are multiple stream crossings with rocks placed strategically but you’ll want to wear waterproof shoes! Lots of elevation changes as well.

Overall very good trail - great cardio workout. Several of the inclines are pretty steep. Probably best to have some poles

Great trail, nice variety of stone and dirt trail. Good elevation changes. We kept.

Short easy hike. Trail is spikey because of foot and paw prints freezing. Thick ice over most of the trail otherwise good.

This is my go to trail for training and today was brutal with the temp around 18F and windchill at 3. It was a lot worse on Bald Hill. My phone battery lost charge so I didnt get to complete a recording and water bottle froze. This is not to hard of trail once you have done Sugarloaf a few times. There were some new blowndown trees today and some of the streams were up running down paths but normally these trails are pretty clear.

If you are looking for a quick little hike that is relatively flat, Downy Loop is a great choice for you. The trail is really snowy right now, but it’s not too slippery on all of the boardwalks.

Frozen mud made for a not-so-muddy hike, but higher water made the lower fords tricky, one creek was too deep to be forded so had to cut the trail short and use the red trail partway. Otherwise a good rugged hike with some good climbs for exercise, alternating with flat spots. Nice features enroute area pond and prairies, with a nice panoramic view at the northern end of the hike.

Icy

Went there Friday morning. Linked the Cemetery to the Fern and then the Hemlock trails. Good shape might have been muddy but the trails were frozen. New signs make navigation really easy. I posted a picture of the parks trail map in the photo section

This is my first time parking down off Big Pine. Last time I’d parked at the northern lot suggested here for airplane rock.
