Fantastic trail. lots of great views and good campsites. Pretty tough though, and the trail isn't always the most well kept. A challenge, but a welcome one.

steep going down and coming up but it's pretty short. Beautiful!!! camping spots everywhere along the river. Great hike. stayed 3 days.

Great trail, bring plenty of water. The real challenge is getting back up! The plants are starting to overgrow onto the path so be prepared for some cuts

Strenuous, fantastic views

Wow what an amazing hike! It’s truly beautiful. It’s kinda crazy they consider it moderate though! We swam in the river once we got to the bottom which was very refreshing! Climbing back out of the gorge gets intense!! 1700ft in that distance is no joke, but I’d do it again!

Not a very well marked or maintained trail. I would not recommend.

Overgrown a bit today. Sometimes hard to track the trail. Definitely hard hike, not moderate. Hiking poles helped a ton. I tracked about 12 miles total, not 9.7. Views and camp sites decent.

Amazing trail, but agree that this is Difficult. Nice, relatively flat and soft underfoot for about the first .6 miles. Then you cross a small creek (first of two) and the fun begins. You’ll be rewarded with amazing views after almost a mile of uphill.

I’m not exactly sure why this trail is listed as moderate. This is a difficult trail and not for the beginner or unprepared. Tracking poles are highly recommended. However, it is very rewarding with incredible views. We took rock jock first and ended up coming up pinch in. Pinch in is rocky and straight up with no breaks or switch backs. Overall, the trail is rocky with lots of small creek crossings (most likely runoff from all the rain we had). Based on our recording it was about 10.5 miles but idk if you can ask for much better views of the gorge than with this trail. Awesome.

Not for the newbie hiker. Very scenic. Did this loop twice loved it. Rock jock trial travels along the edge of the gorge then descends down to the river were there are lots of campsites. Trail continues along river very scenic views of the gorge. Next the trail heads back out of the gorge on a trail called pitch With a very steep accent up. Make sure you have trail runners or boots for this one lots of loose gravel.

Fabulous trail, but anyone who would call this moderate must be a mountain goat. At approx 600 metres of elevation change (I actually recorded it as 675 metres right to the river) this trail averages almost 25 percent slope, with more than half of the elevation change occurring in the middle third. I would say the more reliable rating is the “most difficult” one by the park service. Poles should be an absolute must for most people. Small rock outcropping about a third of the way down. Take the time to climb the outcropping. The views are worth it.

Its on the harder side for sure. But the shortness makes up for it. Bring your sunscreen.

Whoa. Great hike! Very steep and very rocky trail for lost of the way until you hit the river. Trail isn't marked but it's well traveled. It's about a 7 mile gravel drive in from the paved county road to the trail head. Good luck!

Trail is longer than 2.6 more like 1.9 one way and s should be rated hard because it is straight down and then up

loved it!

One of my favorite trails, but this is definitely not a moderate hike! The first half a mile is rather flat and simple, but after that it’s a very steep and strenuous hike up to Table Rock! Bring extra water and a snack. You’ll need it!

This is absolutely not a moderate trail coming up from Spence Ridge. Well worth it, though!

Start at the Spence Ridge Trailhead, hike west approximately .3 miles to start Little Table Rock Trail. This trail takes you to the top of Table Rock via the much less traveled backside of the mountain. There is one source of water approximately 1/2 way, even in dry season. This trail gains approximately 1350 feet in 1.5 miles, but the view from the top is well worth it. Total round trip from the Spence Ridge Parking lot is approximately 4 miles.
