Short hike to a beautiful falls.. some very steep stairs but well worth the effort.

We loved the trail and the falls. The rock stairs are a little crazy and wonky but getting to the landing is worth it. You are right next to the falls and if it’s been raining they can be roaring! Going back up is a little work. The rock stairs require a bit of mobility and strength but the main trail is easy.

Pretty easy hike, some steep stairs at the bottom but a close angle to see the falls.

We have done this multiple times during our visits to the High Country over the years. The kids were young when we started and did fine. Great views on the outcroppings of rocks along the way

Easy Trail except for the final 60 or so stone steps down to the waterfall. But it is worth it as they take you to a viewing area that is up close to the falls. It has been very wet this summer and the falls were spectacular. I have seen pictures of the falls in a drier season and they can be a mere trickle. The loop takes you back up the stream that feeds the falls and is very nice.

Easy beautiful trail

I really enjoyed this trail. It was a well balanced trail, and enjoyable for a brief day hike. I started at the ranger station. All in all it took me about two hours and a twenty minutes from start to finish.

Very easy trail to see a beautiful waterfall. Dog friendly on leash.

I did the entire trail on a Saturday morning in September. I parked at the Ranger station and walked across the road to the trail. Its an easy trail to follow till you get to the Jefferson look out. Its hard to find the rest of the trail. It took me 57 mins to get to the top parking lot and picnic area. Its an easy walk to Luther rock. Then a trip around Lost province trail. Then back down to the ranger station. Total trip took 2 hours and 20 mins. Its not as hard as it would look based on the drive to the top. There are enough switchbacks to make the climb up not to hard. I started at 8 in the morning and there was only 1 car that drove up so it was quite and there were no hikers on the trail.

Beautiful and easy enough even for moderately out of shape folks like me.

Nice easy mountain top trail. Can be combined with the Lost Province Trail for a longer hike. Wonderful views from the top.

Very good trail after a hard rain. No muddy boots or paws! Only one mile, but good views at the top.

Combined this trail and Tompkins Knob for a nice hike that was not too strenuous. The only difficult part of this trail is the stairs down to the falls. The rock steps are uneven and the hand rail has eroded or is broken in a few places so care has to be taken. Because we have had a very wet spring this year, the falls were beautiful-much nicer than some of the pictures I have seen of them taken when it was much drier. The steps lead to two viewing areas do have a substantial rock wall. Because of the sheer steepness of the falls these are not the type you would want to even attempt to wade in areas above them.. The return trail meanders along Fall Creek is lovely.

Really enjoyed this hike. A steady climb for 2 miles at most and then a nice stroll along the Rhododendron and Lost Province trails. Had a nice lunch at Luther Rock.
The only downside is constant road noise.

Trail was not overly crowded, plenty of shade and trees on the entire trail, small bridges over the creek and stairs down to the top 1/3 of the waterfall. Waterfall was beautiful.

Easy, short hike alongside a brook that's doable for anyone. Worth a go to check out the lovely falls.

Awesome views! Wouldn’t bring multiple younger kids as there are a number of cliffs. (Unless there is a person for each kid and they listen well)

Nice walk for the family plus dog.

Big payoff for only a short hike. Rarely do you get to view a waterfall from the top vantage point and this one doesn't disappoint. You really can't hike to the bottom but views from the top are special. I consider this an easy hike but it is mostly uphill on the return.

We connected two short trails (Tompkins Knob and Cascades) to make a nice little hour long hike. The Cascades were gorgeous all frozen over in early January. Liked adding Tompkins on just to add a little to the hike. Very easy hike for all ages and ability levels.
