Definitely not moderate! I would say more difficult for most. Navigating the correct direction of the trail, as well as using the trees & roots to climb a few hundred feet down to the fall & back up was slightly challenging. A bit of an adrenaline rush, especially with wet ground or lots of fallen leaves.
Take it slow, don’t recommend taking small children. The view at the end is breathtaking, much worthwhile once you get there! Will be swimming in the summer for sure.
