Beautiful trail around the lake!

Well marked and relatively well groomed trails that had a good mix of small elevation changes that kept them interesting.

Great walk for the whole family!

Good picturesque place to walk your dog. Not overly crowded, and the people you do meet are friendly. Beautiful scenery. I always pack a lunch and relax after our walk.

Trail is pretty hot and the air is stagnant at many points. I would not recommend in the dead of summer unless it’s a breezy day. Did a few of the trails twice to increase the distance. Well kept trail with lovely pines and small reflective bogs.

It's a good trail but if you try any of the trails besides the green path then your on your own making sure your still on it.

Walked/Hiked three loops. Great trail systems. Nice benches all along to rest. Great bridges to get over the water. This trail offers low swampy areas as well as hill tops. We had a great time. Maps available at the desk. My Fitbit said we went 3.7 miles and the AllTrails app said 4.2. I’m inclined to believe the app over the GPS Fitbit since cellular refreshes more often. Highly recommend this trail for all levels of hiker and walkers.

Well mapped and blazed. Can mix and match smaller loops or stay to the outside and do the whole loop. These would be good for trail running, with or without dog.

Very good walk for this 36 week pregnant mama

Paced a friend for the Weymouth Woods 100k. Trail was very technical and a great challenge. A few places were pretty treacherous especially in the dark. Definitely worth the trip.

We enjoyed this one as a family.

Great walk with kids and grandkids. It's easy, but really close to where we live. I am sure it will be beautiful this fall.

Great park with a very helpful staff! We thoroughly enjoyed this park and the trails. There are enough trails to customize the trip and make it as long or as short as you would like. We hiked 4 miles and thoroughly enjoyed the park. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to check out the Sandhills region.

Great trail for a short hike with the dog

Maybe a bit too long for the punch but we cheeted and drove it.

Nice hike with my wife this afternoon. We did enough of the loops to get in 4 miles and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Sandhills are home for me and I always enjoy hiking in the long leaf and loblolly pine groves. We did not see any wildlife. The hardwoods were beginning to change color and were very pretty as were many of the small under-growth plants.

As we are now "senior citizens" we found the walk to be more "moderate" than "easy" but certainly easy enough for us.

Because of the recent rains from hurricane Matthew, some of the trails had a few ruts created by the runoff but all were passable and well maintained. The young lady at the welcome center was very helpful and provided us plenty of good information about the park.

It was a fun easy to moderate hike. The trail has some hills and is super sandy, of course. It was really pretty though even though the recent rains had turned some of the smooth path into ruts which increased the difficulty. It was great for a nice short hike with my dog though. I did the 1.5 or so mile loop twice. There are pretty gardens in the property too and a nice gallery.

Nice walk. Not challenging, but great NC scenery. I managed around 4 miles or so and got a nice workout. A few runners on the trail; all ages - seniors to infants carried by parents.

Easy walking through long leaf pine woods. Scenery is unvaried, roads are sandy. The roads/trails are wide and flat, but biking is hampered by the sand. Best to try to stay on the edges of the roads where the pine needles have collected. It is not uncommon to encounter official 4x4 vehicles from nearby Fort Bragg.

Great family walking area. You can choose an easy 30 minute loop or go in the back horse trail for a real 4 miler. Lots to see and the parker rangers are very friendly.

Love this trail to run on. Varying elevations, nice soft trails, and bridges over water. Very nicely kept up local park with good parking and nice visitors center. If you want to extend distance, easy access to the All American Trail that goes around Fort Bragg.

I like this trail to run on probably because I can start at my house. My kids and lab also love to get out there. The other day we did a four mile loop with all of our backpacks and gear on to test our equipment fit before we climb Mt. Rogers and backpack around Grayson Highlands this weekend. The streams running thru are nice and the dogs love them. I know people specifically go here for the birds but the deer and fox are pretty cool.
