Nice trails even in the rain. BTW there are clean;ish) port a potties!!!

Pretty easy trail but highly trafficked. Viewing points of the waterfalls where pretty awesome. Trail is really well kept.

really good spot, easily accessible and falls were impressive. great short afternoon hike following a long morning hike. would recommend.

Short hike. Well maintained. Over all very pretty.

Nice loop hike. By going clockwise, the incline is moderate, and the final 2 miles are generally down but a bit of a challenge. Quite a few stream crossing, and the sound of the two creeks are audible even when the water is not in view. A perfect moderate hike!

Trail was easy to hike with 4 kids ages 3-9. Most of the trail is gravel, so we kept getting it in our keens. We recommend boots or athletic shoes to prevent that. Pretty views. No suitable place for little kids to enter and play in the water.

Clean, easy trail with an awesome river view and steps that take you down to the base of the falls for a nice close up of this beauty. It can get crowded, especially in the spring and summer months...early morning or late afternoon hike is recommended.

Short/quick, easy hike that is great for children and dogs. This trail is popular and usually crowded but a beautiful spot overall.

Beautiful views! Great to combine this trail with High Falls and Hooker Falls.

A well-manicured and often over-populated trail to a stepped falls. Not as impactful as High Falls, but a nice easy hike for families. Go early in the day or late to avoid the masses.

Pretty!

Great, easy trail for the whole family! Our 4 year old hiker didn’t complain about the walk at all. Lots of families with dogs, pretty heavily trafficked but didn’t feel crowded at all. Falls are really pretty! We’ll definitely go back when it’s warm outside.

Absolutely breath taking! Very easy and short hike to get to the falls. You can sit on the rocks at the second level and enjoy the view. Would highly recommend!

This hike was easy for the most part. There were areas that you had a little climb if you wanted to go to the top of the lager fall. There was some really pretty creek areas however alot of the trees were down and did blocked lots of the other falls. I did walk/climb around amd over a lot of the trees to get a better view of a couple of falls but you still are not able to see them well. The large fall is really pretty and worth seeing it.

AMAZING!!! We had such a great time. Kids 6,11, and 12. The waterfall was incredibly beautiful.

don't come at this trail from the west side of yellow gap road during the winter unless you're prepared to walk an extra 3 miles. they close the road. otherwise, it's a great hike. beautiful views of sone small creek falls and the further up you get some good views of the inn and parkway. coming back though, make sure to have your GPS ready because it's really easy to miss your turn and you end up on pilot rock trail.

This is a very nice, compacted trail. Families should easily be able to take the kids. Check out the 2 huge boulders on the way up...the trail runs between them.

A very nice short hike. Once I was there I met another hiker who told me about the other Falls to the left of Moore Cove. Just a short walk across two creeks and up a hill. It was pretty nice as well and worth it!

First, my review is from the perspective of an amateur landscape photographer

Second, the trail itself is easy to find, well maintained, generally dry and free of obstructions such as roots and rocks. The trail is not marked but even a novice can stay on it. All the trail junctions are posted and point to major landmarks.

Third, most of the trail is typical eastern US forest and is nothing special, with the exception of the two waterfalls, Triple and High. I feel the Triple has the better composition potential. Make sure you take the stairs down to the creek. On the “con” side the falls are open, not shaded and you are shooting into the sun. Try to visit on an overcast day to reduce the extremes in contrast.

If you want to save some time and effort just do Triple Falls and bypass High. But if you also want to do High then you may also want to take the Covered Bridge Trail. At just 0.2 miles (one way) it’s worth seeing.

Beautiful hike. Tons of water features. Can’t wait to go back. Portions of the trail are not suitable for small dogs. We had to carry our pups!

If we’d done this trail under normal circumstances, I’d probably have rated it a 4. What made it great was that we arrived early on a Sunday morning in January, when it was 17 degrees, so we basically had the trail to ourselves. (A spirited walk warms you up quickly!) The most impressive spectacle was at the base of High Falls, where the mist from the falls turned the adjacent trees and brush into a frosty winter wonderland. We stood at the water’s edge for quite awhile, watching a heron hunt from a rock in the middle of the river. Super cool.

nice, easy, pretty trail with good campsites nearby

Short and sweet trail to beautiful waterfall. Follows a creek and is well cared for. Parking area at trail head. Would be great for kids, dogs allowed too!

Beautiful, short n easy

Love this trail and combined with the Hookers Fall trail you get 3 great waterfalls in a short distance.

Fairly easy and beautiful trail leading to some awesome falls. Always busy on the week-ends. Have hiked this trail many times.

Easy with good views. The waterfall is really cool in the snow.
