Very nice trail, just like the review right next to me went during a heavy fog. What it took away in long distance views it added in ambiance so to speak. I added a cool fog photo. Was straight out of a movie.

Most of the trails on pilot Mountain connect at one point or another so you may hike as much or as little as you feel. Appears to be very crowded on weekends so try a weekday if you can.

Also I find the difficulty ratings around pilot Mountain a touch over exaggerated. The moderate seemed easy & the strenuous seemed moderate to me.

Hiked this trail today while Pilot Mountain and the trail were shrouded in the clouds. Occasionally caught glimpses of the fall colors through the mist. Gives you a real appreciation of the massive rock structure of the mountain. Lots of steps.

Loved seeing the bald eagles nest! Went back with binoculars and saw a baby in the nest. So neat. The turtles sunning in the Yadkin was neat. Easy to do.

An easy hike through the woods.

Fairly easy trail. It is unique and has a very good view of the surrounding area.

I ran this trail earlier today. It's pretty strenuous but not too bad. The most difficult part is near the summit where for about 2/10s of a mile you are on uneven terrain and/or wooden cross tie stairs. You are rewarded for your effort with stunning views of the valley below.

This trail has a lot of steps.

Definitely some sweat but didn’t think it was hard if you’re moderately in shape

An easy trail. It crosses a railroad and parallels the Yadkin River for some distance.

A great and fairly easy trail around the summit (Big Pinnacle). One of the best trails in the park just because it's around the knob. Breezy and cool up there with great views. Great loop possibilities with the Ledge Springs Trail and Grindstone Trail.

Basic woodsy hike. Fairly easy without crowds.

Two of the best trails in the park. Great views and challenging to some degree. Rewarding hike! Those steps are a bit of a workout!

A somewhat lengthy woodsy hike. Less hiked than many of the other trails. Nice and quiet.

A nice walk in the woods. A neat old wagon is still on one side of the trail from years ago.

Pretty basic woodsy hike from the Corridor Trail parking area on Hauser Rd. to the Yadkin River where it intersects with the Bean Shoals Canal Trail. Encountered a beautiful green snake and a sizable black rat snake on this trail.

A lengthy hike on foot if you hike it down and back. Many manure piles from the many horses litter the trail so you'll need to dodge those. A wide and easy trail through the woods.

This is a neat trail. There are signs with information posted on them throughout the trail. The information describes the plant life you'll encounter as well as some of the wildlife you could encounter. The possibility of seeing bald eagles along the river section is exciting. I'll likely come back during nesting season to try and see and photograph the eagles. Horne Creek was larger and prettier than I had expected at one of the crossings.

Great Trail! 600+ steps going up and great view at the lookout point. Steady and patience is needed going down. Well worth it!

the park is great but needs to have more detailed maps.

HARD but really great! Lots of interesting things to explore. There were tons of ladybugs in the cracks of the rocks at the very top, it was really something special to see. We went in November, but it wasn't too cold for hiking during the day. Would definitely recommend.

Quite easy trail once you complete Grindstone, but it just adds to the excitement. I recommend the views and sights for anyone looking for a good 6 mile hike when combined with Grindstone.

Amazing few from the summit. Trail is clearly marked the whole way through. You will definitely enjoy the elevation causing you to earn the joy of trekking this mountain. Beautiful panoramic views when you reach the top.

Great trail. My family hikes it weekly. Beautiful shaded hike- just no ‘views’

Really enjoyed this trail. You can do it slow or fast. Very easy did it in two hrs.

Pedestrian rocky pathway with hellacious vertical. A couple of stretches really worked the hammies and glutes on the way up. Not much to see other than trees on the way up; with all of the car traffic I would probably find solace elsewhere if I were a deer.

Love this trail!!! Gives you a great work out and it’s a beautiful. trail. Your mostly in the woods but you can see some amazing rock formation s. And there was one amazingly large black snake sunning himself beside the trail.

Ledge spring up is tough with lots of rock steps but recommend this if your knees give you trouble. Grindstone has some steps too but nothing like Ledge spring trail
Lots of people drive up and just do the hike around the pinnacle or even just walk to the overlook point.
A bit loud and crazy so 3 stars. Too many people and non-hiking people due to the road up
