I didn’t go yet. But I heard this is a awesome trail, so Interesting about it and planning to go.
First the all I want ask anyone know has clean water source along the trail?
Second I don’t want go by myself, just in case for safety, anyone else planning go to this trail, can we go together? Be a partner for each other?
Thanks!

Love this trail and the walk along creek and falls!! It was short but still worth the price of admission.

Challenging climbs, makes you break a sweat. Only did an up and back, want to complete the loop next time.

If you don’t want to hike and just relax, take the hike on the opposite side of the road. It’s a 0.3 mile hike and you will reach a really beautiful cove where u can go in the water and relax.
The hike is really nice. You get to cross the river on multiple occasions. The trail has some obstacles which makes it a little interesting. However, the waterfall at the end is wonderful and you can actually climb above the waterfall to go under the falling water. The pond under the waterfall is not deep and you can go in and enjoy.
However, while hiking keep an eye on the marking. We forgot to take a turn and kept going on another unmarked and damaged trail before we realized that we were not on the actual trail and had to come back.

I did a portion of the trail on my bike at the end of March. I started at the large parking lot for horse trailers (I’m guessing). No one was on this portion of the trail which was nice. I made it to the beach and walked my bike to enjoy the driftwood and water view. Their were more people walking along the trail following the water. Great for beginners!

I completed this trail in the beginning of April on a mountain bike. I am new to mountain biking and found it was great for beginners. The trails were not marked the best but the views along the creek were absolutely gorgeous.

Beautiful wide trail and in the shade so even on warm days it is no problem. The falls are beautiful and the water feels great..will do this one again

Great trail and beautiful falls..the water feels wonderful!

Wonderful views! A great short, little hike. The uphill is definitely a little challenging, but once you get to the top, it's worth it! Towards the top it becomes a little rocky with some really big steps, so take your time and wear good hiking shoes. My little dog enjoyed the walk too, but he was more excited for the downhill part. We went on a rainy day and got to see fog and rain on the other mountain tops, it was mesmerizing!

The falls are very pretty, but I was very disappointed in the “hike” to get to the falls. It’s all on gravel service roads. Also, there really aren’t any views of mountains which I prefer. This is rated as an easy hike, but there was a decent elevation change several times. Maybe it was just the summer heat and humidity, but I was pretty miserable most of the hike. We parked at the Fawn Lake access and took the Fawn Lake Rd trail up to the Airstrip Trail then crossed over to the Conservatory Rd trail and onto the Bridal Veil Falls trail...maybe there was an easier way?? BUT—the falls are very pretty!!
PS: if you want to get wet and swim and stay for a while, there’s a nice mountain lake not far into the hike. If we’d been prepared, we would’ve stayed there and swam. Didn’t see any place to pay a fee so I assume it’s free. People brought in tents and coolers and chairs. We’ll definitely go back just for that!

Great trail, challenging in parts

Excellent

Trail came as advertised with some good views as well as a short walk along the Eno river. There was one unobstructed view if you took a side path to a look out area. The cliff that you overlook is a by product of a long ago quarry and you would not know it without the signage. All in all a good hike while not extremely strenuous enough ups and downs to get your blood flowing.

Really nice climb out and back. Gorgeous waterfall and the kids took a dip in the pools at the waterfall base. Beautiful! We took the connector trail down to the parking lot...it was a great little hike. Lots of stairs going down.

Hiked in from Graybeard overlook. 7.42 miles there and back. Beautiful wild flowers out today and the fall was running. Great hike, the way back is tough but not as bad as you might think. Worth the effort!

The trail is easy to follow. No tough forks or question marks. Enjoy!

Trail was not overly crowded, plenty of shade and trees on the entire trail. Waterfall was beautiful.

Amazing view. Worth the hike. Limited parking. Very few hikers on trail

Moderate hike, glad it wasn’t steep the whole way. Beautiful falls but difficult rope climb down to the base of the falls. A lot of people were swimming there and some even slid down one of the lower falls.

Most awesome trail ever! So much fun great views. Very technical. Not for amateurs. The most rewarding couple of miles! The trail on to Calloway is so strenuous. Large rocks, steep climbs. Lots of effort= lots of rewards

Cool in the heat, the trail has multiple water sources and some great back country campsites. There's more elevation gain than I originally thought. Great trip, I'll likely do it again.

Great short hike with really spectacular views.

The trail was well maintained and easy to follow. This was my first technical trail. It took us a little over 5 hrs to make it up and down. As others have said the last mile is challenging going up and scary coming down ;)

beautiful hike today... it has been raining in the evening so the trail was wet and a little muddy but I didn't mind at all the scenery was gorgeous.

I take my dog here and run a 2-3 times around the loop. It's a nice trail but not good in the summer due to the bugs and humidity..

Did the loop. Nice walk. Some people might have an issue with crawling over the rocks on the top. Views are great.

Great hike with beautiful views. Lots of flowers. Took us a long time because we stopped so many times and for such long times.

Didn’t make it to Mount Mitchell Road. Map for trail is way off at that end. I went from the other end and found we had turned around 0.1 of a mile from the end. So add 0.2 of a mile to the 9.5 that we did and this is a 9.7 mile trek. Be prepared it is really steep on both ends and rocky on the Mount Mitchell end.

It’s a deceiving little hike. It starts off so steady and easy but the incline steepens and becomes much tougher. Ignore the nannying warning sign and scramble to the top. The views are stunning as are the huge butterflies. Take a while, have a drink and some trail mix and then head back down.
For a fat 50 y/old it’s a good couple of hours but well worth it.
