Beautiful waterfall and a nice hike to get to it

FYI: There is a no fishing sign at the pond/lake. Kind of wish I knew this before dragging my fishing stuff through the trails to get there...

Great trail system and clearly marked with maps along the way. We walked 5.5 miles and tried to see the beaches but the lake was very full the day we went and we were not able to see them. Wish I had my mountain bike for these trails..looks like it would be an incredible place to ride!

Great trail, a little confusing the first time through, so download the map and record.

Great hike! A good number of stairs and rocks (which may get slipper when it rains) to climb to get to the waterfall observation deck. The view was definitely worth it. The view from the top of the headquarters trail was also worth the elevation climb. I saw a handful of people on the waterfall high shoals trail and no one on the headquarters trail. Nice and peaceful.

Awesome hike. Dog-friendly. The scramble at the end of the trail to get to the view is well worth it. A bit slippery in the rain, which is to be expected.

Dog-friendly, great summit view, especially north summit.

Great trail even on a rainy day. Couldn’t see off the top because of fog but it was still lovely.

Just did this tonight because the trail I wanted was closed . lots of water . lots of creeks . At least 5 wet crossings coming down the backside of the mountain . rain has brought an abundance of deadfall over the trail . Well marked and a great trail to get beginners from the easy to moderate transition. I went in rainy wet conditions and footing needs to be deliberate and mindful . Really enjoyed this trail . Views arent great at the summit . lots of deer .

I'm on the fence on giving this a good review, mainly the drive to the trailhead is on a gravel/compact mud road with potholes. the 6+ miles take about 40+ minutes each way. it's a bone jarring ride up and down no matter which road you take up. the main road is 1182 where the trailhead is. I had a small car so it might be better with an SUV, Overall, not worth the drive to hike 1.5 miles when place like Roan mountain have a better grassy bald if you like that kind of hike. not recommended for out of town folks visiting the smoky.

Great trail, we did the 4.5 mile out and back. Meet several hikers on the trail who were doing several days or the entire trail, all great to talk with. Enjoyed the hike. Would do it again.

Gorgeous, peaceful, great swimming spots!

Currently there are a lot of fallen trees on the path - but you can climb over or under. We also had to cross the creek 6 times which meant taking our shoes off and putting them in again. This takes time and is annoying. Lots of mud and some bugs.

Nice loop with 3 waterfalls. Beginning portion is perfect start for trail run (you could keep going not on the loop to run). Loop is easy well maintained trail.

Awesome hike, the falls at the end are beautiful, and there are some smaller ones along the way. It was very muddy after a few days of rain. A bit of scramble at the very top, by the waterfall (optional).

Amazing hike! It was cloudy and rained a little, but well worth the muddy feet! The falls are beautiful, and when we were there it began to rain, so we had the place to ourselves! My girlfriend got naked in the falls and loved it! We will be back here!!

Very very very steep for an out of shape millennial like myself, but it is really an incredible trail. The view makes it worth while.

Always a good idea to check the park website before heading out. As of 05-29, some trails and most restrooms are open. Website: https://www.ncparks.gov/morrow-mountain-state-park/home

Very pretty view of the Smoky Mountains at the top. hiked memorial day weekend on a clear day. Steeper than expected, difficult for smaller children

Easy hike and 95% shaded! Nice casual walk and saw 6 elk through the forest.

Great dog friendly trail highly recommend! Great 360 view !
